I've seen it too. Its an interesting concept but the outcomes make little sense to me. Besides the High Road into the Vale has already been closed during Feast. If anyone is getting into or out of the Vale it is probably through Gulltown.
I hear you. Like I said, I don't agree with what she sees as the cause and effect of it, but I do expect that there will be an avalanche.
How was the Avalanche foreshadowed? Is it the frozen thing I can't be bothered to look it up, that Cat sees outside? The tear or something, and the fact they keep saying it's "impregnable"?
It's foreshadowed during the Tourney of the hand. I don't have the exact quotes right now, but I can try to pull them later if need be. When Gregor Clegane first arrives he is noted to thunder past Sansa like an avalanche. He is a giant of a man, known as The Mountain. His lance pierces Ser High of the Vale in the neck, killing him. The Mountain on which the Eyrie sits is known as " The Giant's Lance," and the Eyrie sits upon its shoulder. There are just too many connected turns of phrasing there for it not to mean something.
Why must I always be the isle of crazy alone in an ocean of sensibility? The should to everybody else’s shouldn’t? The I-will to their better-nots?

I like it.
I am the hybrid prophesied to return to Westeros.org and stand in its ashes.

I will address this point regarding my prediction theory of the avalanche and the Burned Men attack, if I understand the complaint correctly (otherwise correct me).
You are correct that the High Road is closed. There's nobody who isn't already in the region of the Vale (aka foreign army) going into that region via the High Road from the Riverlands. Nor will they be able to escape that route. But that's not something I ever claimed will happen.
The Mountain Clans are already in the Mountains of the Moon. Except for Shaggy and his few men, every other Mountain clansman and -woman has returned home. In fact, the Burned Men were the first to go back. They didn't even attempt to offer their services to Tyrion or King's Landing anew like Chella. Mountain Clans are used to living in the Mountains of the Moon, but they normally cannot remain high up in those mountains during winter. They will move to live in lower regions. Despite winter sealing off passes, the Mountain Clans have attacked the Bloody Gate and the Gates of the Moon in the past, exactly and only during winter. It is the reason that House Arryn decided to keep the Gates of the Moon as a protective fort, instead of tearing it down and build a prettier castle there. It is why they chose to build the Eyrie as a non-winter palace on the mountain, but stay safe in the Gates of the Moon in winter. (the source for all of this is the World Book, and I provided quotes from it in my prediction essay). So, whether the High Road is passable or not for foreign armies is not relevant for the Mountain Clans, as we have historical precedent that a snowed in High Road did not prevent the Mountain Clans from attacking both Gates in winter from the ground.
The High Road is not just impassable for foreign armies for snow-reasons, but because they'd be slowed down by the snow and be more vulnerable to multiple attacks of the Mountain Clans who live in the mountains through which the High Road runs. Please, I urge you to read the wold book quotes regarding the Mountain Clans and House Arryn in the history sections. This should clear up any confusion regarding the passability of the High Road, and why it differs for a foreign army or a joined force of Mountain Clans. The reason their attack will succeed this time is because of the avalanche that happens prior to the Mountain Clan attack, as it will firstly kill many of the heirs and nobles of a lot of the Houses, pretty much stomp the Gates of the Moon, and weaken the structural defenses of the Bloody Gate. With no heirs or lords and ladies to call for their levies from their respective regions to a destroyed castle and such levies being hampered by snow the other Vale houses will not be able to do much about it and come to their aid.

Very well done. And it puts me in mind of the Mountain Clans in the North who are "helping" Stannis. As Northmen, they do far better. Which, since we are predicting TWOW stuff, makes me think we will see a resurgence of clans not only in the Vale but in the North. That they will succeed where Stannis can only fail.
All art is at once surface and symbol. Those who go beneath the surface do so at their peril. Those who read the symbol do so at their peril. It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors. Oscar Wilde.

Just want to agree with this.
A while back I floated the idea that Sansa would lead the clans of the Mountains of the Moon. That the show would have her try to wrest control of the wildlings gives me a glimmer of hope. Though I do not like the way the show has gone about it, I would very much like to see Sansa leading a pack of First Men against the Boltons.
