The problem with this is the cotf do not work ice, nor forge weapons. Their "weaponry" is actually just hunting tools. Their "armor" is crude organic camouflage.
Longswords and reflective armor are a human craft.
Which may be the very reason they needed a human greenseer, although my belief is a human was needed because "men would be wroth".

About the greenseers - is it canon that the original greenseers were Children and they passed the knowledge on to Men? How - through interbreeding or what? I know only one in a thousand humans have such potential, but how do human and Children greenseer/warging abilities compare - exactly the same or not?

It is canon that the wise leaders of the Children were "greenseers," but that's about it.
My thinking is that Weirwoods create the ability, and that the trees themselves passed it on to men rather than the children. I see the children more as mediators of the transfer, rather than the source of the power.

I think the logistics would have been akin to Bran's wedding of the trees.
I see the ability itself being identical in Men/cotf, but the influences and interpretations attained by men are likely far different due to the nature of man himself.
