Hey I think I'll join in, I need a distraction. I kind of like a forensic file idea and having threads to discuss individual chapters so people can refer back to it if one rereads at a later time. Can we try that?
Sounds good to me. I was thinking we could link to each thread from the OP of this one. Could even use the old Bran I thread for the first, and so on.
It's hard for me to comment on the chapters collectively for some reason. Lol

Hey guys are we still reading or are we done and I arrived late to the party?

mea culpa...i have not been reading. Which does not mean that i won't. for the time being i have an urge to read stories that end.
I do think one of the mysteries surrounding Bran is time-hopping. I will need to brush up when the re-read gets to that point. Time-hopping would perhaps explain Bran-the-missing rather than Bran-the-forgotten. I am referring to his absence at the royal parade which preceded the royal feast at WF. From that parade of Starks and Lannisters, very few are still alive (if you add book and show death, all the males are dead).
"Arya did not dare take a bath, even though she smelled as bad as Yoren by now, all sour and stinky. Some of the creatures living in her clothes had come all the way from Flea Bottom with her; it didn’t seem right to drown them."

He was missing from the parade?
Lol! I was all hyped to reread and you just helped me forget I was sick of the series.
Let's read something else, shall we? What do you suggest? Something dark? Bubbly? Both? Maybe I'll reread the Hobbit.
i was supposed to do Harry Potter before Italy. We see how that turned out.

I think it's Ilyn Payne looming over the Hound and Barristan Selmy. But I think I'm in the minority on that one.
Not a bad interpretation but it doesn’t explain the stone.
The hound is clearly a dog sigil reference, can be either of the Cleganes. The sun can be metaphorically speaking the sun of Dorne or the golden armor of a KG (which can be either Barry or Jaime both with king Bobby coming from WF) That leaves the giant in armor made of stone with the visor. I mean Sansa clearly is scared of Illyn Payne and he does loom large in her chapter and gets her completely freaked out. So I guess yours is definitely a viable option.
