Mojo - I never use tapatalk. looked at it once and decided I don't need it. I'll have to look at the settings and see what I can come up with - mostly just interested in replies to me or new posts in some threads.
as for detracting - I'll have to lurk for a bit to see what people tolerate well. I can (and have, on occasion) gone rather rabid, but mostly I'm a sarcastic prick who likes to make fun of gorge. He's such an easy target, and seems to go out of his way to provide us with tons of material... lol my animation work is going very slowly - damned walking sequence has me somewhat baffled. Otherwise I'd have some interesting clips, lol...
He is an easy target and the fact that he can't even blog about an update makes me feel less forgiving.

Oh - it's an update you want? Well - he actually DID write an update. It was really long, with lots of words. He borrowed one of Trump's speech-writers, don'tcha know. But the thing is - just as he was about to click the 'post' button, after having typed it all in from the handwritten pages that he was sent, he spilled a quart of queso on his keyboard. While wiping off the keys, a random bunch of letters were entered at the end of the post. He recognized that random bunch of letters - they were the name of one of those masters (zxkwawxikka or something like that) - and he realized that he hadn't gone back and edited any of those chapters in over a year. Ignoring the fact that that particular book has already been published, he completely forgot about his Pizza Retrospective on 2016 and went back to add a few more "Words are Wind" phrases and a couple more feasts to the chapter. Once he finishes updating that chapter, he'll get back to his REAL job - editing other peoples work and putting his own name on the cover in bigger letters than the original authors.
I see George posted his annual NFL post. I guess it makes sense because he had to have something else up there other than his “...and then everyone died” post. At this point we all know that George is either going to finish the series or he’s going to die, and that last post was hitting a little too close to home.

Its up? So Foosball was the winner...thanks for the update

karsa is slacking. He's supposed to be glued in front of the Not a Blog. Maybe you can fill in for him and update his thread?

I’ll give it a try! Big shoes to follow.
I think you'll do fine. His format is to come up with a troll post and we get fooled every time. Someone does. it was said you're an OG detractor so I have faith

Yeah, I never posted in forums before IWC before. It just wasn’t my thing, but it was a ton of fun and its where I discovered that I really like to write, and so I still pop in from time to time. Have you read the blog “Finish the Book, George”? They kind of started everything in that they gave people a home to bitch.
If you haven’t then this is the post that kind of caught everyone’s attention. It’’s very well thought out

I loved Finish the Book! That's how I found IWC? I think. I miss those guys, but I guess they lost interest...or died. You never know

Those were fun times because everyone was debating whether George was working hard and needed to “recharge his batteries” by doing all his side projects, or if he was just using all the side projects to procrastinate. There used to be a lot of really thoughtful, civil debate which was what I found to be fun. Mostly because it was just a nerdy topic that you could really dive into, and that it wouldn’t ruin your life if you won or lost the debate. That was before Neil Gaiman coined the phrase “He’s not your bitch”, which became an internet shortcut to “I win”. You still see it today if you debate someone, but have you read Neil Gaiman’s post? He was responding to one of his fans who had emailed him a couple politely worded questions. I’ll link to it here: Entitlement Issues Give it a read and let me know who you think the real jerk is.

silentmajority, now I see where the sycophants got the idea they keep parroting about preferring the quality (like Feast and Dance??) every time someone groans about it. Like it was their idea. Frankly, i don't really give a damn anymore.

Frankly to be honest I never really did care. I have always preferred books like Wheel of Time which is my all time favorite series.
What pulled me in was the progression of intensity. It just started with people asking when the book would be finished. There was a chapter in the back of FfC that said it was only a few months from release. Then some people started saying that you couldn’t ask this or that, or that you shouldn’t care for the books so much and read something else. That’s where the pushback originated from. People were getting kicked off of forums for asking or starting threads that speculated on what was taking so long or having their comments edited or deleted. It’s all super-nerdy shit, but that’s what made it fun.

Thing with WOT was I started to get bored around Book 4-5, and I heard it starts repeating itself. However, I keep saying I'm gonna read again
