Non - if you did I'd have to considered writing on it, which would mean I'd have to re- read bits again, and I'd get stuck, again, on trying to figure out who killed Asmodean and still not be able to find when jordans rafo gives me the answer. And pestifering every bloody time Nynaeve sniffs, rolls her eyes, tugs her braid, smooths her skirts or just generally acts like a comic strip character.
Brandon sanderson tried to squeeze it in the story somehow, but it didn’t make sense that after so many years they would just casually mention it, so they just put it in the glossary instead.

I read the WoT a few years after the series had ended (actually I only read it last year lol) so I knew ahead of time that this was a big deal as I'd seen it referenced over the years on various forums and the reveal was kind of lackluster, and even I missed when it actually happens in the series. I've seen seen the explicit citation and reference in the books that confirms it and accept it, and in hindsight such a line should've had bells ringing and the answer makes sense, but even a reader who knew to expect the reveal missed it.
I'm still not sure that's necessarily a bad thing though. I flip back and forth whether or not that's what a true mystery in fiction should be however: makes sense in hindsight, but not very guessable. There's very few clues and possibilities, and everybody seems fairly equally open to being the killer. The reveal, in the books, is lackluster only in that it's not an explicit reveal and just hinted at, and not that it doesn't actually make clear who killed him or sense. Because after the reveal, indeed it makes a ton of sense.
At the same time, while I missed the initial reveal and just googled it after I read the series and still didn't know, I discount most, if not all, of what the WoT fandom has "deduced" made it that
is the obvious choice who did it. Some of the "evidence" is just make belief nonsense IMO, and is mostly definitely hindsight bias. I've seen some of the old forum posts when I looked all this up, and I know that people didn't just figure out that mystery and are talking out their asses in the reveal analysises I've seen. There was like 2 clues: that they were obviously stronger than Asmodean, not a hard feat, and that he recognized them, which includes a lot of people. Everything else is practically nonsense and just trying to whittle down otherwise perfectly good contenders for no reason other than to make a smaller pool. Those two real clues give you like 13 or whatever different possibilities, and certainly not some of the posts I've seen that "analyzed" it down to either explicitly
You can legitimately make a smaller pool, but it was definitely a great mystery and some of the analysises I've seen are horrenduously biased in eliminiating perfectly fine candidates. Like I said, I accept they did it, but not that they were the only "real" candidate as I've seen proposed.
Your lordship lost a son at the Red Wedding. I lost four upon the Blackwater. And why? Because the Lannisters stole the throne. Go to King’s Landing and look on Tommen with your own eyes, if you doubt me. A blind man could see it. What does Stannis offer you? Vengeance. Vengeance for my sons and yours, for your husbands and your fathers and your brothers. Vengeance for your murdered lord, your murdered king, your butchered princes. Vengeance!

I need to read this series and The Black Company. But first I need to finish Les Rois Maudit. I keep starting and stopping it sporadically. Like how I was stuck in AGOT on the first read through for a while and then sped through ACOK and the following books.

Just be aware if you are not already aware that Eye of the World mimics Lord of the Rings to a degree. It veers away after that, but Tor had Robert Jordan rewrite EotW because they wanted a familiar starting point. The main character originally was a grizzled war veteran instead of a young teen. It’s a great series. One of my favorite that is well worth reading all the books if you love fully immersed worlds. Plenty of different cultures, magic systems, as well as plenty of easter eggs that hint at our current “Age”. It’s one of the few series that I think is worth a reread.
and there is no ambiguity about his characters - his descriptions are consistant, and you can build a very clear image of the world he has built. one of the major faults is that everyone is white or black - but when you compare that to the good points (such as, there are sooooo many pages that even speed readers get their monies worth 😀) that you can forget about the bad points.

After reading 14 door stoppers if your in the mood for a reread what you’ll notice is that important places and items that were needed in book 14 were very subtly weaved into book 1. Robert Jordan was probably one of the best authors when it came to foreshadowing.

The long-gestating “Wheel of Time” TV series adaptation is moving forward with Sony Pictures Television.
(...)
Sony will produce along with Red Eagle Entertainment and Radar Pictures. Rafe Judkins is attached to write and executive produce. Judkins previously worked on shows such as ABC’s “Agents of SHIELD,” the Netflix series “Hemlock Grove,” and the NBC series “Chuck.” Red Eagle partners Rick Selvage and Larry Mondragon will executive produce along with Radar’s Ted Field and Mike Weber. Darren Lemke will also executive produce, with Jordan’s widow Harriet McDougal serving as consulting producer.
Hopefully they don’t fuck it up!!! Really excited over this!
