Also confirms my thoughts that Baelish will lead the Vale army to the River lands.
Well he's definitely doing something other than the plan he told Sansa, the one where he kills Robert and Harry inherits the Vale and helps retake Winterfell for her. Because that plan makes no sense.
Your lordship lost a son at the Red Wedding. I lost four upon the Blackwater. And why? Because the Lannisters stole the throne. Go to King’s Landing and look on Tommen with your own eyes, if you doubt me. A blind man could see it. What does Stannis offer you? Vengeance. Vengeance for my sons and yours, for your husbands and your fathers and your brothers. Vengeance for your murdered lord, your murdered king, your butchered princes. Vengeance!

Indeed, the plan always seemed like BS and it's not like it's the first time he lied about taking Sansa to Winterfell. Frankly I think he has very little interest in the North.

One of the better Preston Jacobs videos I've seen. He's great at picking out details and sometimes terrible at extrapolating meaning from them. This video though was very informative though, a lot of people I've never even heard of, much less had the patience to track succession and ambition wise.
It's certainly an interesting thought, I've always had an inkling that Littlefinger would throw a tournament at Harrenhal and there would be some parallels between Sansa/Aegon/Harry and Lyanna/Rhaegar/Robert, what with a Hardyng being one of the tourney knights that did well in the Hedge Knight, and Harry said to be a good in tournies as well. I THINK Harry has a bastard too doesn't he, did we learn that from the Alayne TWOW sample chapter?
Certainly, Littlefinger would have to shore up some power in the Riverlands first in order to make any of that happen. I wonder how the suspected Grey Wedding ties into this, the theory that Stoneheart/BwB will take revenge for the Red Wedding at the upcoming Lannister/Frey wedding. Lots to think on...

I agree with you both. While I like the idea of Sansa returning North, because, well, who doesn't want to see some Starks return home, it never made sense that LF would actually want to do so.
To your point Wraith, I think LF's interests are far more ambitious than the tundra in winter. What lordly brothel owner would want to spend a winter starving his fresh army just so his brainwashed ward can be surrounded by people who would support her and mistrust him?
Hard to imagine LF wanting that to happen. Sansa/Alayne is far easier to control if he is the only one whispering in her ear. Now that he is a Lord of two/three houses, and seducing the Lady of Winterfell, he has a whole lot of might at his disposal.
I like prestonjacobs' idea that he will play his games and benefit from the divisions within House Frey (Lord Walder did kill the only woman he had ever loved in brutal fashion), I don't think Littlefinger's ambitions are that small, either. More traditional men, like Robert Baratheon, might think with their fists when the woman they love is taken from them, but I don't think LF is that sort of man. I think LF will likely play a bit of both sides in the upcoming conflicts between fake/real Aegon and the forces of Lannister+Tyrell in KL.
Bear in mind that LF knows House Tyrell is in a far better economic & military position than either House Lannister nor the capital itself. He is also quite aware of Cersei's madness and stupidity. He can bank on that, and I think he already has to great benefit.
He can placate Cersei by offering some feigned resistance to the Faith Militant. Once Aegon rides into town, that resistance will evaporate quicker than you can say "dragon." The Faith will support Aegon. Aegon has no stink of corruption clinging to him like Cersei's perfume.
Littlefinger would be well positioned to aid Aegon's conquest. If LF were to bend his knee early, rather than send half the houses of Westeros against him, King Aegon VI would be most grateful. LF is no fool, and has no honor to hold him back. He and House Frey will be very much aligned when Aegon requests oaths of fealty.
Varys will have one-upped LF, at last.
At least, that's how I see it playing out. Aegon VI's conquest is going to be smooth as silk. At least, until Cersei does something crazy, like blowing up the city. I only hope that Arianne is far away and naked when that happens. Preferably, anointing her breasts with the seven oils. LOL

Sometimes PJ's interps feel way off. This video was very informative and I think it offered some of his better theorizing. I differ regarding LF's goals, but the motives and posturing I envision are much the same.
And I completely agree with his reasoning for the Frey Civil War that seems to be brewing. Merrett Frey spells a lot of it out for us in the ASOS epilogue, as do the two Walder shits Catelyn sent to Winterfell. Their "Lord of the Crossing" game really sybolized this in-family conflict I think. Well, that and their kinship to trolls.

LOL you have the same view on PJ that I do.
I'd imagine that the tournament would have been at Harrenhal if he still had the five year gap. Still could have one. Harrenhal will be important to the end game and surviving the second war of the Dawn.
Harry has one bastard and I think another on the way. I need to check, definitely the one at least.
LSH will certainly crash the party. I think she also plans to crown Sansa with Robb's crown.

Anyone else think Brienne will "kill" LSH (is that even possible at this point?) to save Jaime or stop her from slaughtering or something? Seems like a fitting obstacle for Brienne's arc - breaking her oath to Catelyn for a good reason and paralleling Jaime, something she always loathed him for? Bonus points if she does it with a sword named Oathkeeper.

For some reason I always figured that Arya would be the one to put UnCat out of her misery but I like it. Or the super cheesy that she revives Jon Snow and dies.

I always figured Arya would do it too. But now that I think about it, Arya kind of created Lady Stoneheart when Nym dragged her out of the river. Had she not done that, I don't think Beric would have found her. And now that I think about that, why the hell did Beric give her the kiss?
Brienne doing it with "Oathkeeper" would be a pretty badass bookend to her service to Cat. Considering her feelings for Jaime, I can definitely see it happening.
Funny how GRRM plays with these storylines. Brienne is rescuing her damsel in distress. He only looks like a lion-knight of the kingsguard.

I wonder if Beric losing more of his memories parallels something gaining more control of him every time he comes back. He seems almost like a fire wight.
