What is our schedule? An episode every night? Once a week? I may not be able to binge until Friday

I havenโt finished rewatching the first episode, but I remember that my biggest complaint was the scene where they find the Direwolves. The mother Direwolf looked so fake that I imagined a writer grabbing a stuffed animal off of his daughters bed and ramming an antler through it while she cried in the background.
I gave the episode a 10. Not because it was the best, but because it served as a perfect springboard for the rest of the series.

I gave it an 8. A great start! IMO this episode most closely followed the books.
Right off the bat Arya is showing her skills. I enjoyed the playful banter between Robert and Ned.
I don't understand why Ned & Benjen didn't to put two-and-two together if they've both gotten reports of WWs. They don't even seem to give it a second thought!
Viserys is so creepy and whiny!
I think we're gonna renew our vows the Dotraki way. They know how to partay!
"The things I do for love" is an AWESOME ending. That shit hooked me all those years ago.
The blade was Valyrian steel, spell-forged and dark as smoke. Nothing held an edge like Valyrian steel.
Ok it's almost midnight I had to stay late tonight but I'm starting S1E1. I'm drinking so hopefully I won't fall asleep. I WILL NOT MIX VODKA AND ATIVAN

Man should I fry one more porkchop first or save it for breakfast??

Ok i really felt bored during this episode, maybe because I've seen it so many times? But I think I was bored the first time I saw it with my good friend therealadolfhitler at his future wife's apt. I was too poor for hbo but he convinced her to subscribe and I joined the moochfest.
I think the main thing that bored me- which was a good thing in hindsight was that it so closely followed the actual series. The godswood scene is beautiful and the way they convey the complex relationships between the characters is great! What ended up happening, HBO?!
I really want to rewatch the Sopranos instead, but I'm forcing myself to rewatch this first since I didn't get to participate much the first time around. If I don't fall asleep by the end of the episode, I'll rate it a solid 8, but I'll still feel frustrated about not being asleep yet.
I was a zombie all day. I want to pass out, but I guess if I have insomnia tonight this should help cure it.

Yes, almost a month later I agree with you about how the pilot follows the books. Though I'm guessing it was just to hook the readers since the story line went crazy. I'm supposed to mod S4, so I figured I'd try and binge this one out and catch up, maybe get to S2 by Saturday.

I haven't seen the Pilot in a while, but I did come across this article recently in which one of the showrunners says that what he thinks is the worst scene in the history of the show is in the pilot.
