This makes perfect sense. It also makes him a likely mutineer against Jon.
Yes, it's likely. During the shield hall speech, Alf sits with Bowen Marsh, Wick Wittlestick and Left-Hand Lew. At least Bowen and Wick are part of Jon's stabbing. It might have been those four men who held the daggers that cut Jon.
The crazy thing is, I think Melisandre was responsible for the deaths of Garth Greyfeather, Black Jack Bulwer and Hairy Hal. I think she orchestrated it to make Jon listen to her. She is a prime manipulator and I don't trust her at all.
And both are close to their younger sister.
I think Marg and Lyanna were close to each of their brothers, just in different ways. Marg talks about how Willas used to read to her, and while we don't see more than normal conversation with Garlan and Marg, she does request that Garlan be her champion in any trial by combat. That request, of course, is denied to her.
One difference is that Lyanna was older than Benjen, where as Marg is the youngest of all her siblings.
Anybody would have been a better father. As to the tinfoil, It's cool, but I'll not be adopting it likely.
Honestly, I think I would prefer Randyll Tarly to Tywin or Craster as a father. And I don't really expect to sell anyone on my tinfoil.

I'll still probably rewrite a bit and post on the blog...
Thanks for posting. I don't have time today, but I will look at it when I have a chance.
I don't think he has any interest in Robb or Sansa. Not sure on Rickon or Arya. Definitely Jon and Bran.
I would bet that he does. I think the first time we hear about Sansa dreaming is when she sleeps under the faceless Oak heart tree of the Red Keep. Just cause it's not a weirwood, doesn't mean Bloodraven isn't watching. Or isn't helping her dream. She dreams that Bran is smiling, and I have always thought that was interesting, because when Bran wakes from his coma, he has nothing to smile about.
I m always more organized on a computer. it's partly why I started the blog.
Gosh, I think a blog would be way more difficult to run than my pile of sticky notes. I am glad for people who do it, though.
Would be cool if we get more info on this in TWOW.
I like the topic a lot. Mythology is not something I know a lot about, but I know GRRM does, and I love how he uses it. Seeing the quote you started it with, I 100% think that GRRM stole the line from Dante. I am not sure how much further it goes, but the idea that something lies deep inside the earth there, and why a Stark needs to be in winterfell (to maintain a spell?) is very much an open issue at this point. I agree The frozen hell thing might be a clue to that mystery.
Yes, it was a fun little rabbit hole. I don't spend a ton of time on the Heresy boards, and when I do, it's in spurts anymore, but it usually triggers something I have not considered before, either by myself or with some prompting. And it's probably only been about two years that I have even done that. Before I just read the threads and was pretty amazed by some of the connections and idea's.
