I think pearl of Pearl Emperor is black because there is a White Pearl Emperor from Color Emperors. Stark eyes are grey, while Greyjoys have black eyes, that's why I think they could be connected. And they are connected to Sea Dragon point and the North, could they be a Northern house? Joy is Wynn in Old English right, Grey Wynn > Grey Wind, was it an early sign that Robb should keep Theon close?
I suppose the pearl emperor could indicate any number of shades of pearl color. Green is another pearl color that shows up several times in the story, both in Feast and Dance. So, perhaps something that GRRM thought of later in his head canon?
The Rhoynar as said to have taught the Andal's how to work iron, but before iron, smiths would still have been working other metals, such as copper or bronze. I see the connection you are making but in my head I associate the Rhoynar more with nature than industry. The Smith hints at industry to me. Although GRRM does give us the information on the Rhoynar teaching the Andals for a reason. It's the Andals that I think of with iron weapons. Associating the Andels with knights does make sense, although not all warriors are knights. I am not sure how much of a distinction really matters, though.
Is there any asoiaf nation renowned for their warriors? I wouldn't oppose Rhoynar as the Mother tbh because like you said they are more connected to nature but their connection could be negative as well. Nymeria and her followers said to practice water magic and make rivers florish even those who dried, yet Dorne is dying, maybe Rhoynars control their kingdom through drought?
