But the fact that Stannis will apparently live through the books means he only has a few options. He either has to become king, be sent to the Wall after being defeated by whoever does become king, or will bend the knee to someone and go back to being a lord for whoever is the king.
I'd say he's still alive on the show as well. We saw Brienne swing Oathkeeper, but we never saw Stannis die.
Also interesting that if everyone who died on the show will actually remain alive to the end of the books means that Myrcella will survive. Which means that Maggy the Frog's prophecy isn't real.
Well, this, to me, seems to suppose quite a lot. We've no reason to assume Myrcella will survive to the end of the books.
Mayhaps I missed a SSM stating as much?

GRRM: CHARACTERS THAT ARE DEAD ALREADY ON THE SHOW WILL BE ALIVE THROUGH THE END OF THE BOOKS
Myrcella died in the last episode. So she would be one of the people that will be alive through the end of the books
Your lordship lost a son at the Red Wedding. I lost four upon the Blackwater. And why? Because the Lannisters stole the throne. Go to King’s Landing and look on Tommen with your own eyes, if you doubt me. A blind man could see it. What does Stannis offer you? Vengeance. Vengeance for my sons and yours, for your husbands and your fathers and your brothers. Vengeance for your murdered lord, your murdered king, your butchered princes. Vengeance!

Ah. Well that, to me, hardly seems like an assertion as to Myrcella's life-expectancy, specifically. That sounds like a very general statement. I'm not vested in Maggy's prophecies one way or the other, but the skeptic in me is hesitant to assume Myrcella will live throughout the end of the series based on this alone.

I read that as not necessarily all characters, but you know, [some] characters. But I hope Stannis is alive too. And Barristan...

Mojo, I couldn't find where he commented on astronomy? All I saw was that he said that there was no system to the magic. Is that somewhere else or are you just thinking that applies to the astronomy as well.
Ok, I couldn't get the tweet on one neat page to link, but I have a screenshot:
Someone is going to have a few rough days processing this!

Lol! Someone has already posted that it was probably misspoken/misworded. Someone else has already inferred in a post it was likely hogwash. Paraphrasing here. Seriously, though, I'm all for new whacky theories, I have my own, but why are people jumping on the astronomy band wagon? I find it hard to believe that GRRM researched astronomy journals for his world. He wouldn't need to. It's fantasy. In a world with dragons and blood magic, the moon can do whatever it wants.
And who cares if it ends up being wrong? No matter what ends up happening, some people, a lot of people, are going to have wrong guesses, and that's to be expected. And in some cases, even funny (not thinking about the astronomy theories, just rabid fan theories in general).
For example, it would be funny, to me at least, if Martin lied and there was a corn code after all.

New theories are always fun! I give LmL credit, even if he wrong about the importance of astronomy he does show his dedication and intelligence, and down right determination to write those really long posts!
I personally favor that there are no set rules for magic in the series, it does add more mystery at least to me!
Definitely. You can't box yourself in a corner like that. You gotta leave room for magical flexibility, although I'm curious to know now, what the rules of magic theories were.
And yes, it's great he came up with his original essays, I'm just saying it's no big deal if he's wrong. Most of us will be, I suspect. Or I hope, at least. I'd be disappointed if I wasn't surprised by the future direction the books take.

Speaking as a fellow gardner in terms of writing style... while there's a method to the madness it's often rather simple. Anything too complex it taking matter too deeply.
I noticed your avatar a few days ago, let's just say I am impressed haha
I actually put a bit more work into it than it seems. True I google image a picture of a white wolf, but then I put it into Paint.NET and recolored the eyes by hand on excruciating level of detail... which at the distance you see them here... isn't quite visible with how the image is cropped. Oh well.

Not going to lie that is super hardcore. I just used Google
