S? Who's S? S is Stark. Jon is an incest child.
Wait, what? Ew! No way. That's sick. No way is Jon an incest child. Sick!
You'll find no lack of sick perversion in this series. One could say that is its crowning achievement: it makes us not only accept such perversions, but at times, we even sympathize with them (Monster-Joff vs Kind Tommen, Monster Viserys vs Beautiful Dany, Monster Cersei vs Witty Tyrion).
I've brought up Benjen+Lyanna=Jon often in Heresy, and again over at SH. As crackpot as it is, a second look at the exchange between Jon and Ben in Jon I AGOT is quite telling with this notion in mind.
A clink is in order, good ser. Love that you're looking at this angle! :::
Just want to point out that AFAIK, the idea that a Stark+Lyanna=J wasn't intentionally left out when this essay series was proposed. IIRC there were lots of talks back on Sable Hall about people mentioning doing a Benjen one specifically (because of the evidence that you ended up pointing out), or just a Stark one in general.

Third, my mind is spinning with all kinds of innuendo now: "You have more of the North in you", "Lyanna had a touch of the wolf blood in her", etc.Did Brandon "more than touch" Lyanna? Ew!-worthy, I know, but he certainly reacted quickly when his "sister" (not lover?) went missing.
Also, Ned leaves out Benjen entirely in his "wolf blood" description, yet we know Benjen joined the Night's Watch for some reason...
