Ser Waymar... considering who they got to play his father in Season 4, how do you guys view Ser Waymar. There seems to be something of a likeness (i.e. the casting department did their job), but Ser Waymar really comes across as even more of a douche than the Prologue portrays him as, I'd say.

An interesting observation--the place where Will is being executed looks to be the exact same place that Daenerys was abducted in Season 5--I hadn't noticed that before.
ETA: Not in show canon of course, but in film location? Certainly!

Another bonus in this episode is how spare of dialogue a lot of the scenes are. There is some really great visual storytelling being done with the camera, with the dialogue only there to confirm what the camera may be saying, or past history. Most of the time the characters and their motives are spoken through visual storytelling.

And now at 33 minutes in we finally meet Daenerys. What does this do to how we think of Dany compared to being introduced to her early on like in the book?

Never noticed before but there's a bunch of people dressed just like Illyrio huddled at the end of the steps when Khal Drogo arrives. Really makes Illyrio seem less resplendant or unique.

And Illyrio's palace gardens are the same as the Red Keep's. I've been told that fact before but it never seemed so obvious than seeing Season 1 again.

The Northern neck ruff... Thoughts? I think it looks like a cheap version of an Elizabethan collar that hasn't been washed and forgot to go on a diet. Definitely not my favorite facet of Northern fashion, though I do like how mother and daughter are dressed so alike.
Watching the scene between Cat and Sansa really makes me appreciate how much Sophie has improved as an actress since Season 1. When the other actors in behind the scenes specials go on and on about Sophie's skill on acting--I now see it somewhat, comparing to what it used to be.
Jeyne Poole makes her silent cameo! Oh how I wish she'd stayed in the show.
Joff is seen for the first time in the same frame but the cam is following The Hound. Loved it.
Myrcella and Tommen are different actors? seems like, not sure, if it is make up or something.
"There is no word for thank you in Dothraki". I am now going to use that every time anyone says thank you
Yeah, the Hound is out of luck for having any speaking lines until the end, but he makes a notable entrance, to say the least.
Myrcella and Tommen are indeed being played by different actors. Tommen between Season 3 & Season 4 suddenly gains 3 or 4 years and hits puberty all at once. Man magic puberty--in the blink of an eye it's all over. What many teenage boys wouldn't give for that blessing.
