Brienne -> Sansa. Convenient, but a no-brainer. Dorne -> Ah...lulz - now go novelize that, George ! How did the two Sanddouche chicks get on Trystane´s boat ? Did Scotty beam them over there ? You don´t fuck Khal widows ? Damn. Tyrion and Varys jaywalking thru a dangerous city...with no guards ? We´ll see how it starts panning oit next week.
They did some 6-7 minutes of recap before the opening credits. Gotta add that to the tally.
Well no, I know they did that. I'm just not counting that horseshit, that's not part of this season. The episode when you take out that crap comes out to 47 minutes. That's ridiculous, especially considering how much nothing happened in the episode.
I'm starting to believe D&D when they say they have nothing left to make episodes of and can barely make one more season. That or they just don't give a shit anymore (completely possible)
Carice mentioned a few seasons ago that Mel is like 400 years old, so she'd be older by some like 280 years than Shiera would be
Your lordship lost a son at the Red Wedding. I lost four upon the Blackwater. And why? Because the Lannisters stole the throne. Go to King’s Landing and look on Tommen with your own eyes, if you doubt me. A blind man could see it. What does Stannis offer you? Vengeance. Vengeance for my sons and yours, for your husbands and your fathers and your brothers. Vengeance for your murdered lord, your murdered king, your butchered princes. Vengeance!
Pretty sure there was a bunch of confirmed stuff that Brienne goes to the Riverlands this season, and Sansa goes to the Umbers. So not really sure what the hell was this Sansa/Brienne pairing, if they're going in completely separate directions this season.

Another thing that I forgot to mention as I was watching: Roose says that Stannis is dead, but doesn't know who killed him.
So did someone find Stannis' body and Roose now has it, did someone report seeing it, or did someone just report that they'd heard he'd died or something?
Basically... STOP TUGGING AT MY HEART, SHOW ME HIS DAMN BODY IF HE'S DEAD

He really is. Might we imagine this is the sort of thing Davos is doing for Rickon in the ketchup smattered (pg-13 version) pages falling off of GRRM's writing desk?
Didn't care for that. They were outnumbered by calvary with dogs that supposedly do terrible things to the people they catch. Felt rather anticlimactic once the jig was up.

Also, how the hell did nobody know who Dany was among the Dothraki??? That's ridiculous. Everybody knew who Dany was among the Dothraki. She married the most powerful khal among them in a huge ceremony. Drogo had turned his khalasar west to reclaim her country. The Dosh Khaleen had convened and decreed that she was bearing the Stallion That Mounts The World. She'd hatched dragons. She'd spent the next few years conquering Essos. Etc.
Like no one is that stupid that they wouldn't realize who the hell she was. Why else did the whole khalasar otherwise stop to capture her last season if she was just some random girl who was going to be their slave?

Show Brienne's can magically stumble on anyone. Book Brienne's can't find anyone.

All art is at once surface and symbol. Those who go beneath the surface do so at their peril. Those who read the symbol do so at their peril. It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors. Oscar Wilde.

A face took shape within the hearth. Stannis? she thought, for just a moment … but no, these were not his features. A wooden face, corpse white. Was this the enemy? A thousand red eyes floated in the rising flames. He sees me. Beside him, a boy with a wolf’s face threw back his head and howled.
The red priestess shuddered. Blood trickled down her thigh, black and smoking. The fire was inside her, an agony, an ecstasy, filling her, searing her, transforming her. Shimmers of heat traced patterns on her skin, insistent as a lover’s hand. Strange voices called to her from days long past. “Melony,” she heard a woman cry. A man’s voice called, “Lot Seven.” She was weeping, and her tears were flame. And still she drank it in.
But the "Melony" doesn't seem right. Although, what if Melisandre was the woman crying out "Melony," instead of Melony-herself? Might be she was Melony's mother.
"I can see it. You have more of the north in you than your brothers."
