FWIW you've described both my approach to reading the text and my opinions on R+L=J almost exactly. I'd say I'm expecting the outcome of R+L=J to be tragic, above all else -- it'll contain an element of sweetness, but mostly be about personal desires being steamrollered by impersonal events.

Oh and Borzois FTW (win, not watch).
Borzois were up there with afghans on my dream dog list

Glad I'm not alone in that. And, well, Martin does have Meera say that the crowning of Lyanna was a "sadder story".
Salukis FTW. ::flag wave:: Oldest known breed of dog still in existence. ::flag wave:: But cheers to fellow Hound lovers. :::

Of course the biggest problem many fail to consider if RLJ is true is who is the mummer's dragon from Dany's point of view? Would it stll be whom most consider currently..fAegon or would Jon now fit that description if he is a bastard dragon?
I like your post in that it simply collects the pro R+L=J evidence in one place. I am familiar with most of it, although I definitely consider myself to be a "confirmation" skeptic. I had a couple questions. First, I don't recall Jon as having fire dreams or dragon dreams. Can you direct me to a chpater or a specific passage on these?
Suggestive Imagery (though not clearly tied to specific meanings) Jon’s fire dreams: associated with Targ “Fire and Blood.” Not exclusive to Targs—also R’hllor.Plus, fire exists all over—not as specific as blue roses. Jon’s dragon dreams—not defined as exclusive in a world with dragon stories and history of dragons (and a few current dragons). Not as specific as blue roses. Jon dreams of fiery sword—implies tie to AA myth. Not exclusive to Jon. Beric, Thoros, and Stannis have flaming swords (of varying “authenticity,” but no less extant)
Second, Most use the small mentions of Snow and King by Robert in AGOT and later by Mormont's raven and RLJ indicators (there are I'm sure other examples of this. Did you consider a line item to capture this (albeit weak) evidence?
