A multiple part series on the historical politics of the Seven Kingdom by Dr. Steven Atwell. An excellent resource for seeing how the Seven Kingdoms became one.
Fascinating. I think more people would find this if we elimnated some of the subforums, or returned more of them to the home page. We simply have too many.
To find this thread, for example, one must go to GRRM-tastic! -Click on Novels of Ice and Fire -Click on General Discussion -Click on Resources and References -Then scroll to find the thread if others have been updated more recently than it.
I've been hoping to eliminate the subforums, and put everything together. I think the Search function is visible enough now to help people find threads of interest, rather than grouping them in dozens of topical folders. Plus, hashtags also work, so long as [brackets] are placed around the #-symbol. [HASH]firstworldproblems LOL
I've also heard some feedback from folks that our forum layout is a bit overwhelming/confusing with the all the subs/folders.
P.S. The vote on this issue is still open, but it has been steady 'for' and 'against' for some time now.

yes indeed, an updated thread can hide another one.... particularly under Novels of Ice and Fire and HBO's Game of Throne, together 600+ threads, nearly 20k posts, just 2 entries on the front page.
"Arya did not dare take a bath, even though she smelled as bad as Yoren by now, all sour and stinky. Some of the creatures living in her clothes had come all the way from Flea Bottom with her; it didn’t seem right to drown them."
Alright I will finish updating the links now that they are all completed. Brilliant stuff if you like seeing how history, geography etc shaped the regions of Westeros.
Darkstar will be the next Vulture King.
Craster has 19 daughters and there are 19 castles on the Wall, coincidence I think not!

BTW, i didn’t know this existed. I just saw that you posted this from the link on the front page.
Weird. Just updating some of my old threads due to the recent influx of new members. Just trying to get a discussion going.
Yeah, I need to try and get some advice on organizing the forum in a way that makes it a bit easier to use
