Been obsessing over parallels lately and saw similarities in Essos shaping up into a new "Band of Nine" situation among Dany and her followers. The Band of Nine were the nine leaders from Essos that Aegon V fought against in the War of the Ninepenny Kings. Tell me your thoughts.
Maelys the Monstrous - A claimant to the Iron Throne via the Blackfyre line, captain-general of the Golden Company. The obvious parallel here is Daenerys, a Targaryen (or maybe Blackfyre??) claimant to the Iron Throne and leading the Unsullied and probably Dothraki army.
Ser Derrick Fossoway, the Bad Apple - An exiled Westerosi knight with a bad reputation, just like Jorah Mormont.
Xhobar Qhoqua - An exiled prince from the Summer Isles. Jalabhar Xho is also an exiled prince from the Summer Isles, has appeared in all five books, and is currently in a dungeon in King's Landing after... you guessed it... petitioning the queen for help taking back his rightful claim. Not sure how he would get to Essos though.
Alequo Adarys - An ambitious and silver-tongued Tyroshi, just like Daario Naharis. And come on, their names are practically identical.
Samarro Saan - A notorious pirate from a family of Lys pirates. If Davos can get himself some land in Westeros, by God Salladhor can too. He's already left Stannis's employ, and if there's riches to be had, Salladhor is interested.
Spotted Tom the Butcher - A Westerosi exile that also served as a captain of a sellsword company in the Disputed Lands. This one is interesting because Tyrion is a Westerosi exile who could be said to have earned the nickname of "the butcher". But sellsword captain in the Disputed Lands sounds more like the Tattered Prince, though Tatters isn't Westerosi as far as we know.
Liomond Lashare - Nicknamed the "Lord of Battles". We don't know any history or description on this guy, but Barristan Selmy probably fits that nickname better than just about any person in the series that I can think of, and he just happens to be right there by Dany's side.
Old Mother - "A pirate queen" is the only information we have on her. The obvious choice here is Euron, a pirate king, but I think a dark horse here could be Aurane Waters too, since he has a brand new fleet and is already theorized to be pirating in the Stepstones.
Nine Eyes - Only description is "captain of the Jolly Fellows", which the wiki can't even confirm is a sellsword company or not. I have no idea who this one could be, which is where you guys come in. Any ideas?
