Speaking of Heresy of Westeros.org, Ran and Linda's Facebook page is now highlighting various threads. I've seen 1-2 new thread being promoted on their FB page. I wonder if they are slow and are trying to bring in traffic?
This site is slow too. Where is everybody?
I've been around, but no one posts much. More often than not everyone is gone most of the time. :/

Truth be told, what would that idiot couple expect ? Their NFL/SadPuppies/merchandise pimping hero is not delivering what the people want (rapidly approaching the 5-year anniversary, folks !), the show is off-limits...what the fuck is there to write about ? People just reallocate time to other things until something happens...- oh yes...NFL draft ! Add to that the censoring bullshit and you slowly but surely get a sinking board.

I am beginning to lose interest at posting over there.
Darkstar will be the next Vulture King.
Craster has 19 daughters and there are 19 castles on the Wall, coincidence I think not!
I just don't like not being able to use quick quotes over there. They are addicting. Plus the new format makes it hard to break up posts, etc. Can't do it at all on tapatalk. If SlyWren would quit posting all of her new theories over there I wouldn't be there as much either.
Why must I always be the isle of crazy alone in an ocean of sensibility? The should to everybody else’s shouldn’t? The I-will to their better-nots?

::oops:: Sorry. I posted those two there because they seemed to go with wolfmaid7's Heresy Project. The Bael one especially. As for the echoes--well, that was mostly an extension of some of the stuff we've already done here, so seemed like a repeat. And, again, it fit the Heresy Project.
Though I probably shouldn't have done it--I barely have time to keep up with them. Fortunately, the site is really slow.

It's awesome that they are reading her thread, but they think a Dayne is the Black Knight?
Maybe--am assuming they are thinking that the Black Knight/White Knight connection is means Dayne=black in the Marvel world.
Though how on earth Edric is supposed to be Sword of the Morning when Jon's the one who saw it and Edric's role seems to be entirely to emphasize the connection between Starks and Daynes. .. Not sure I get it.
LOL Agreed! Time to start a vote/poll. I have a feeling everyone will want SlyWren to keep her amazing insights here for us alone.
"I'm leading in the polls. They said Sly Trump would never last. That this bird could never win. But look at where they are in the polls? And look at where this bird is?"
Now all I need is a toupe.
In all seriousness--I really only put them there because of wolfmaid7's project--the Bael one really seemed to fit. All the other analysis I could find on the rose and Bael references in the novels almost entirely ignored context. And reading the whole tale vs. just the rose and the stealing. And Ygritte's big fat disclaimer. Just seemed like if Bael was being used as a trump card against some of the essays, we should read what the Bael Tale actually says. And how it's used. No?

I beg to differ with you both: he left the rose in payment for her virginity (blechhh!). He returned mama and child--didn't keep them. They suited his purpose MUCh better to leave them as permanent insult to Brandon the Daughterless.

YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT!!!!!
Bael obviously LOVED the Stark maiden, else he would not have abducted her and possibly even raped her... Right?
Edit: sorry, got carried away. But yeah, the woman matters. Too.
"I can see it. You have more of the north in you than your brothers."

EXACTLY!!!! And this is why Martin put the disclaimer in--to make sure it wasn't too obvious. The disclaimer and the complete lack of the mention of the maid before she's taken prove that her emotions are the single most important factor!!!

She does indeed matter. But it should give us pause--especially in light of the current story.
