Place your bets! Vote in the poll and then be more specific in your post.
I’m going to say that he will make a post announcing the completion of ‘The Winds of Winter’ on April 1st, 2017. This will set the internet on fire as everyone argues whether he actually finished the book or if George finally developed a sense of humor. This will necessitate George to write yet another post, using the 'Angry Typewriter’, with the header ‘No, no, no’ as he loses his temper because he has to announce the completion of the book twice. Proving once and for all that this man never heard a joke that he understood...

Fake detractor. Once again, I have fallen in love with a fantasy.

Honestly, I will likely be dead. at least - the part of me that gives a shit one way or another will be, as it died last year.
Same here and I'm about 15 years younger than you

you can't be. I've seen your pictures - there just is not any way conceivable to me that you're that close to me in age, lol.
I saw your birth year. 16 years younger. I'm a hot cougar, what can I say?

Man, you guys need a shot of optimism! WoW will be finished this year, and the real fun is after people finish reading the book. They will know upon finishing whether George will have 1 book or more left. I imagine people will get a sense of urgency if they realize that there is 2 or more books left.

Okay. I'll accept THIS as a premise:
That a book will be released this year. HOWEVER - the book will be half of TWOW, with the promise that maybe next year, we'll get the other half. If not next year, then definitely within 7.

Will he have solved the meereneese knot in the next book, or will he save that for the next one?

Only knots he's worried about are pretzel knots

There is a good possibility that the entire series of GoT will air without GRRM having written 1 book. Keep in mind that ADwD would have been completed before the pilot was released.
