shymaid I will check out the X+Y=J thread immediately. I do not think there are questions about Jon's father though, he is Ned's bastard for me since day 1. I have all the books minus the second part of ADWD but I read it through internet instead. Illyrio is weird, the part where he talks about his dead wife's hand made me ????!!! - I love Leyton Hightower - I expect him to light the top of his Tower with a long stick at hand shooting magical beams to Euron... It is entertaining when it is in my mind.
Back to Lyanna and Rhaegar, what do you think about Bran's visions? He saw a pregnant woman praying for a son to avenge her. I read that she may be a woman from the past Beron Stark's wife, but I also think if there is a possibility of her being Lyanna and praying for a son to avenge her and her family? I might be wrong since Bran's visions are short and not very detailed for me to understand.
Oh, it's not a thread but a whole board. It has sub-forums for every book + "Who's your daddy (Or mummy)?" and a general. We'll make one or more thread about every chapter as we go along, discussing what we find in the text with heavy use of quotes and possibly some miles of tinfoil.

He is a Ned clone in many ways, but I still think it's possible for other combinations as well. So I keep it open so far, or at least try to. Rhaegar is far down on my list, Robert even further down, and Howland isn't really on it to be honest. Higher up is the Stark males at the time, yes Starkcest is on my list and pretty high up! As I see a lot of Dayne imagery etc with Jon, I favour him as a Stark-Dayne with wither NA or AL. It will be interesting to see where the good folk here end up after this reread!

He really triggers my gag-reflecs! Not sure if he actually has the hands, or if it was just a really really insane jape tough. He is one of the biggest liars in the story, and I distrust almost every word that comes out of his mouth.

Haha, sounds like a great mental picture! I've barely noticed him, and have to think before I remember who he is.

I've not put that much effort in the visions yet. Hard to say off the top of my head right now, but it could be anyone. Lyanna, or her mother, or her mother's mother etc. Depending on the size of the trunk in the vision and how fast a weirwood is growing, it's hard to say how long ago it happened. Sorry, I haven't a better answer to this part.
shymaid ah I can't wait for more Bran visions but I am also sad since he will end up like Bloodraven stuck to the tree. I do not like Weirwoods that much, they are creepy - I also read a comment on YT how they could be fungus not trees since fungus has roots, trunk, branches and it's leaves would be spor kesesi (I don't know the English term sorry) - Leyton is a man who is interested in prophecies and studies magic to fight against the Iron Born since decades. He is my favorite at the moment and I fully support his fight.
So now Elio is claiming that his exclusive secret Stark family tree that says Lyanna died at the tower of joy was supposed to be used for AWOIAF despite that not being what he said in the initial Westoros thread years ago, or what the app itself says is where it’s information comes from, and he’s now claiming it’s GRRM’s tree instead of a tree his assistant gave him
Your lordship lost a son at the Red Wedding. I lost four upon the Blackwater. And why? Because the Lannisters stole the throne. Go to King’s Landing and look on Tommen with your own eyes, if you doubt me. A blind man could see it. What does Stannis offer you? Vengeance. Vengeance for my sons and yours, for your husbands and your fathers and your brothers. Vengeance for your murdered lord, your murdered king, your butchered princes. Vengeance!
Not sure if it's the correct topic to comment on as it's more of "Jon at TOJ=not cannon", but I figure it's close enough.
Also sorry if it's super obvious, but I have found this SSM yesterday and I was pretty shocked as I have never seen it brought up in any theory before, even though I have read a decent amount of them. So here we go:
How could Edric Dayne and Jon Snow be milk brothers if they are several years apart in age - 12 and 16 or so? Can a nursemaid really produce milk for so long a stretch, or perhaps did Wylla have a(nother) kid of her own when Edric was born? Or if Edric was lying, and why didn't Arya call him on it?
Edric is stretching the term a little... "milk brothers" more usually refers to two infants of different parents who were nursed simultaneously by the same woman, but Jon had long been parted from Wylla's breasts by the time Ned came along.
Doesn't this pretty much kill the whole "Lyanna gave birth to Jon at the ToJ at around the time of the fight with the Kinsguard?
I do have to say we have this curious passage from AGoT Catelyn II that doesn't really match with what GRRM said:
He did more than that. The Starks were not like other men. Ned brought his bastard home with him, and called him "son" for all the north to see. When the wars were over at last, and Catelyn rode to Winterfell, Jon and his wet nurse had already taken up residence.
Edric is stretching the term a little... "milk brothers" more usually refers to two infants of different parents who were nursed simultaneously by the same woman, but Jon had long been parted from Wylla's breasts by the time Ned came along.
You may be misreading GRRM's use of "Ned" in your quote. Both Eddard and Edric are called Ned and I think GRRM is referring to Edric here, simply saying Jon had long departed by the time Edric came along.
