I gave it a 9 and wrote my impressions in the discussion thread. Was going to give a 7 or 8, but I caught new info I hadn't noticed previously, and I enjoyed the nuances as a book reader. Not sure how much the show watchers picked up, but maybe they'd notice similar things on rewatches with some of the points given in later seasons.
Ugh. I hope I can comment and binge watch before July

Ygritte knows nothing. The Wall is made of Lannister piss.
Just so. Love Syrio!
Maisie is a perfect Arya. So fierce!
Ned seems upset when he sees Arya training. Perhaps recalling another woman he knew with the Wolf Blood.
I mentioned in the discussion thread that Ned seemed to be having a flashback, as you hear clinking of armor and swords as they fade on Ned's face- they are using wooden swords, no armor, so there should be no metal sounds.
i thought he looked proud of Arya, and maybe pensive. wolfmaid7 and I both thought perhaps Ned wanted Arya to learn to defend herself because perhaps Lyanna wasn't given that chance.
