When Jaime talks about what Aerys did to Rickard Ned looks fit to be tied. When Barristen mentions it Ned just ignores him. They were both KG to the mad King and now serve Robert. But Jaime broke his vow to his king. Ned really puts a lot of stock in honor.
Widow hood wouldn't suit Cat? Foreshadowing!
I love the scene in the Pavillion before the tourney. Poor Lancel! Bow you shit's!
Ned doesn't play the game but he sure manipulated Robert into not jousting without saying it outright.
Poor Renly wants a rose!
The viewing stand had magnificently carved stag heads. We'll done production crew!
Robert stopping the fight between the Cleganes was interesting. The Hound immediately goes to 1 knee whereas his brother throws down and stomps off in a fit.
I believe that's the same singer that sings of Robert later and Joff rips out his tongue.
Announcing she was going to WF and instead going elsewhere was clever of Cat. Taking him to the Vale not so much.
Bronn is such a badass.
This skirmish really shows Tyrions character. He could have let her die or tried to run. He saved her.
Season 1 Tyrion looks more like he's described in the book.
I do love the scenes between Bran and Luwin. He's such a smart boy and Luwin has the patience of a saint.
Forgot we see Theon's wang...explains a lot.
When Varys walks into your chamber and starts closing windows and doors, worry.
And dinner break.
The blade was Valyrian steel, spell-forged and dark as smoke. Nothing held an edge like Valyrian steel.
Varys is pointing the finger at Sir Hugh for poisoning Jon Arryn? Was that to throw Ned off? The next scene he's meeting with Ilyrio.
Why do the dragon skulls look like sand castles?! Black dammit!
I enjoy the back and forth between Varys and LF. I didn't pick up on this before but the way LF insults when he's bested shows his insecurities.
That's twice Ned has had ppl out to find Arya. She's as bad as Coral!
Kuddos to the ppl in charge of finding the locations. The landscapes are stunning!
Is Varys really advocating Danys assassination or cover his tracks?
No Ned! Tell LF "no thanks" and just go home!
Lysa is so gross. Sweetrobin has a milk mustache! Hahaha!
Lysa does a good job of acting terrified of Tyrion.
Beautiful weirwood throne!
Loras trying to convince Renly to be King just before the hunt is suspicious.
Cersei and Robert speaking after Ned resigned is great. Gives us a great insight into their relationship. Robert doesn't talk down to her when discussing strategy. He explains firmly. She seemed to respond well to that.
Robert speaks as though he truly loved Lyanna.
Lol, Jory! Eyes up!
The Lannister Army is right there when Ned comes out. Did LF tip them off?
The blade was Valyrian steel, spell-forged and dark as smoke. Nothing held an edge like Valyrian steel.
Ned Stark is holding us own against the Kingslayer, says a lot about his skills. Jaime seemed to admire his prowess and wanted to see how far they could take it one on one.

Did I fall asleep or something? Cat made it to the eyrie but I didn't see the Hill Tribe battle. Was it just in the books?

You must've dozed, it's there. Tyrion saves Cat and after the battle Bronn tells Tyrion, "you need a woman!". Tyrion looks over at Cat and says to Bronn, "I'm willing if she is".
Come to think of it...all Lannister's have hinted at being willing to hump Cat & Ned. Jaime makes a similar comment to Cat after Ned dies and Cersei gets suggestive with Ned in the GW. Bunch o' sluts! LOL

Goldrod the Handless makes a similar comment to Cat after The Headless Man dies and The famous tart gets suggestive with The Headless Man in the GW. Bunch o' sluts! I'm only laughing to be polite, but it wasn't really funny
OMG this was so funny with the April Fools words! I am quoting it in hopes that it will still look like that tomorrow

One thing I really liked about this episode was the scene with Cersei & Robert having an adult discussion. It may have been one of my favorite scenes in S1 along with Littlefinger & Varys going head to head in the hall before the small council. That was pretty comical. I felt a tinge of sympathy for Cersei here though because although she is a sociopath, I can kind of see how she got there. She's very smart when her temper isn't out of hand.

Mojo best April Fools prank ever! When I first logged on I saw an admin I didn't recognize say "I'm only laughing to be polite, but it wasn't really funny". I thought, "who's this dick?!"
It took me a while to decipher the admins. Then I had to check with Voive to make sure I wasn't losing my shit. Well done!

I agree. Considering all that Robert does to keep her happy you'd think he'd be smart enough to lie to her about his feelings.

Thanks! I wish I could have read more but I have worked a fuckton of hours and I broke my phone 1 or 2 weeks ago? I think 1 week. Anyway, you weren't here last year, but Wraith had a field day because he was caught off guard last time we did it. It's my favorite holiday theme

You think maybe he was honest because he was showing her respect and she needed the truth? To hammer that last nail in his coffin for his fate?
In his defense, he owned up to the fact he couldn't remember Lyanna. I felt like he was also admitting he was in love with the idea of Lyanna. I watched more but I might be too tired to discuss but I'm going to try and catch up so we can open up Season 2

I'm fighting some nasty germs and my head is spinning so I won't say much. I think this scene is two fold. 1) Don't ask for the truth, you can't handle it. 2) Fuck it, I'm drunk. Spiteful honesty.

Well said! I know I just looked at my time card and I'm close to 60 hours and the work week ends Weds. I feel sick too but it's exhaustion
