Just about to start: thinking: Gendry + Arya could mirror a Robert + Lyanna in a weird way.

Slynt & Tyrion. Loved this in the books too! Wish I didn't have to work tomorrow I'm still recovering from a work hangover. Slynt is a dirty POS. Good way to outsmart the bastard.
Too bad Yoren didn't kill both goldcloaks. They were going to come back and kill him anyway.
I don't really like Asha that much, or whatever she's called on the show. It's weird she lets her brother feel her up. I like the actor for Balon. He was cast perfectly. Poor Theon must have an inferiority complex. Why does he always have to prove himself to everyone? He's so insecure.
As shitty as Balon is, it's cool he raised Asha/Yara to be a shield maiden
too bad Stannis never figured out he was fucking a 400 year old lady
oh! The white walkie taking the baby scene! I'd like to know how it works. They show them touching a baby later, but the others don't seem to age when they become wights.
do they make babies grow into whatever the highest hierarchy? voice in that one scene aren't there 12 riders and the NK when they approach another infant?

It doesn't work. Baby would've died from the cold almost immediately. Even Samwell nearly died from the cold of the Other he killed.
do they make babies grow into whatever the highest hierarchy?
Well, the hierarchy is only a theory... but yeah... the whole turning babies into Others thing is going to require a whole lot of explanation if GRRM goes that route. Thankfully, I don't think he will.

Yes indeed, m'lady. 12+1, whose name is forbidden.
So the story we need to find out: the NK is the 13th LC of the NW who rode off into the night with his 12 riders...why did they become the HNICs of the White Walkies and go rogue from the NW? It's so bizarre. He had a WW lover right? So maybe she changed them with ice magic?
I kind of want to see a wight dragon. Hope it doesn't happen to Drogon, but you know it wil...

NK was the "thirteenth man to lead the Night's Watch," according to Old Nan... who also told a story about a man who rode off into the frozen dead lands of the Long Night with a "dozen companions."

• Just noticed that the Baratheon stag is still a prominent part of the series intro despite all the Baratheon’s having been killed off. Lazy editing or slick foreshadowing about Gendry’s role in the series?
• Jaquen H’Gar introduces himself to “Arry”. I think he knows Arrya is pretending to be a boy.
• Did Ned Starks bones ever make it back to Winterfell?
• First time anyone told Sam that he was brave.
• Sam, “I can’t steal [Gilley] she’s a person not a goat.”
• Theon returns to the Iron Islands shortly after pledging undying loyalty to King Robb.
• Slynt and Tyrion having dinner. Tyrion calling out Slynt for killing babies. Tyrion sending Slynt ot the Wall is brilliant maneuvering.
• The conversation between Arya and Gendry is hilarious!
• Theons real life sister was supposed to play Yara, but she decided not to take the role because of the incest suggestions.
• Iron or gold?
• Poor Theon. Finds out he’s a no one…
• Stannis must give himself to the Lord of the Light… He must sleep with Melisandre for the good of the realm!

There's still Stannis, Renly and all of Cerseis kids are "Baratheons". Only Bob and the bastards have been killed.

Are we ever told in the books how Gendry got to Yoren? In the show he says his master got tired of him. Did someone work to spare Gendry from the purge of Robert's bastards? If so, who?
Biter was recast.
Yoren should've said Gendry ran off. Yoren lives, Arya makes it to the Wall, Cat finds out she's safe and doesn't release Jaime, Karstark keeps his head, Robb keeps his bannermen, no Red Wedding, all is well!
I love how Tyrion whistles while he walks through the Red Keep like he doesn't have a care in the world.
Ha! Fish pie. Classy!
Varys is a great mummer.
Cersei loves ripping paper as much as she loves bitch slapping ppl. Subtle of her to ask about Jaime. Anyone would wonder about the hostage but when she did everyone gave her the side eye. Lol
Ugh, again sharpening Valyrian steel. Smh
Jon is using the wildling terminology of steeling women. Old Nans stories stuck!
Poor Rakharo. Why did D&D kill off all of Danys bloodriders?
Ugh, Theon on the ship. Didn't seem like she was enjoying herself.
Lmao, kisses from LF! Ewwwww
LFs conversation with Ros foreshadows her fate.
His handling of Janos makes me like Tyrion all the more. Tyrion seems a Stark supporter.
Lord of Harrenhal being Commander of the City Watch seems like a step down.
Gendry puzzled put that Arya is a girl but doesn't know why the Hands die after talking to him about his parents and why the Gold Cloaks could possibly be after him.
Ugh, more Theon. The look the dock worker gives Theon is the same look on my face as he's announcing his return.
30 seconds into his father's presence and Theon realizes he didn't know what he didn't know.
I do like the gender equality of the Iron Islands. Lol
Salador Saan is great!
Like LF when Cersei is being bested she resorts to insults.
Ice, ice baby!
