Hmmm, haven't really tought of spin-offs at all. As a bookaholic I've found the translations of books into film/tv a bit... well... painfull in many cases, so it depends on this being done well enough and with the money and time the story needs. To hell with other concerns, damn it!

That being said, I like all the suggestions mentioned and can't think of any I want to add right now. I will if a story comes to mind!

I think they should have done Dunk and Egg and Martin's a fool for not doing it. Self contained stories, no show viewer knows much about it if anything at all, cool adventures and frankly, it's hard to believe that he'll finish the whole 10 stories he has planned. You really have to be realistic about some things. I mean, really...

Still, I understand he doesn't feel like selling out the last bastion of story ownership he still possesses. Bet HBO asked for it though.

Honestly the more I think about it the Blackfyre Rebellions make more and more sense for HBO to do. HBO isn't going to make it for us book readers after all (looks at seasons 5 and 6 for evidence) but to the mass market appeal that it has gained.

It will have sexy people doing all the things people like: fighting, fucking, and intriguing against each other.

Season 1: The Young Dragon
Season 2: The Blessed Balor
Season 3: Viserys and Aegon the Unworthy
Season 4: Daeron and the Great Bastards
Season 5: Seeds of Rebellion
Season 6: The Blackfyre Rebellion

I think I will make a another thread to flesh this out more. Could probably fit more seasons in considering how many important characters there are.
