A Production Nightmare: The Battle of the Bastards

Very interesting! Really pushed my attention span with it's length, but has some interesting thoughts. I wonder if several of the things in the show over the last few seasons ended up in a similar fashion. They laid the seeds for a different outcome, but time or budget cost them, and that is why several things that are hinted at feel like they just drop off a cliff.

And while this guy seems to have a personal vendetta against Dave and Dan, as in "they must be stopped", he certainly is correct in pointing out the fact that they don't seem to know what they are doing on such a huge production, and if they are not willing to listen to professional advice from people who do know what they are doing, it really does explain how the show has suffered as their ego's have grown. And he is also correct in the sense that I have stopped watching their commentary or reading articles about the shit they say, because I have lost interest in them or their process, but it is interesting that this article from Sapochnik, the director, was not something that seemed to get much generalized media attention. Is that HBO trying to squash any threat to D&D, who really hold the production by the balls, and GRRM and HBO must see that for the huge disaster that it is!

Maybe with two years to make a season, they will at least be able to film the scripts they wrote!! However, that will still not change a poorly conceived and nonsensical set of scripts. I am losing much of the very little hope I had that S8 would be somewhat decent and not the hot disaster that S7 was!
