The only one I really want is the Eternal Champion, but not sure if even HBO can pull it off accurately, and give it the appropriate budget Also a better Animorphs would be cool
"Arya did not dare take a bath, even though she smelled as bad as Yoren by now, all sour and stinky. Some of the creatures living in her clothes had come all the way from Flea Bottom with her; it didn’t seem right to drown them."

I know Dune is being remade into a movie and I have high hopes but I would much rather see it as a 10 episode series on HBO.
Call me crazy, but i'd much rather they go into the Butlerian Jihad books, or the house prequels, or continue from where the Sci-Fi Children of Dune left off and do God Emperor through chapterhouse. So many great stories in this universe and they all just want to retell the first...
i agree with the episodic series being a better medium for Dune, there is just too much that would have to be cut in film length.

I think a lot of people would call you crazy for wanting either of the prequel series. Not me, they were fine for what they were but they certainly didn't hold up to the original series. However I think that it would be far easier to adapt them for a mainstream audience.
is this another GRRM rip-off? St Arya of the Needle, the assassin, is it telling us the ultimate fate of Arya? she will eventually get her blue eyes?

i'm not saying they were anywhere near as good as Frank's work, but they were made for the screen. i enjoyed the Jihad series except for the crappy way they started the Atraides/Harkonnen feud, i found that to be horrible writing (not that i expect more from KJA, but this was particularly bad). only read the house prequels once, but what i recall was some good plot oriented stuff that would work well on screen (assuming you can get the CGI budget to pull it all off).
Have you read the Great schools trilogy (Sisterhood, Mentats, Navigators of Dune)? This would need the Jihad trilogy to make sense before it, but some great plotlines and story, and the writing wasn't horrible... i recommend those as it is pretty cool seeing the BG, Mentats, and spacing guild getting their start, not to mention the way the Empire rises above the butlerian fanatics...

I haven't read the great schools trilogy. Just the houses books and the Jihad books. The Jihad books I could see fitting more for the modern audience but not sure the word Jihad will fly.
I'll check them out at my library I haven't had a chance to use it recently.
Darkstar will be the next Vulture King.
Craster has 19 daughters and there are 19 castles on the Wall, coincidence I think not!
I'm still waiting for The Wheel of Time to get its day in the sun
if done right, this could be amazing. i'm hoping they don't even try tho (based on GoT, what kind of abomination would WoT become...)
It definitely concerns me about the quality of the show. They would have to take a hatchet to the storyline, but with the books finished they should be able to even out the storylines so you don't have as much fluff. Of course worse case scenario is that it resembles Shannara or worse Legend of the Seeker.
