Oh that change will give him time he need, I wonder if Viserys will know about Rhaenys' death since he seems to know Jaime was carrying a gold sword when he killed Aerys? It is possible Margaerys was chosen as a Targ sounding name than knowing they were loyal to losing side. Do you think there is a fake Rhaenys than? Varys found a baby to replace and I do hink he was ready to replace Rhaenys as well so where is her imposter? Did we meet her, was she replaced by idk, Shae since she is a Varys crony?
As to Jaime, I thought about it more last night, and when he changed his armor, he might have had time to get to Rhaenys room. But I cannot imagine that he would stab her 50 times, as was reported about Amory Lorch. So, does he kill the child quickly, and then go to kill Aerys? Does someone else come along and then stab Rhaenys body to hide the fact that she died from a skillful sword thrust? I hate to think this is possible of Jaime, but he has demonstrated similar behavior's before, or at least been willing to act in a similar way. But I think the caveat is that the direction to kill the girl must come from Cersei, because I don't think Jaime would do this type of thing for anyone but his beloved sister. Where was Cersei during all of this. I would have thought she was in Casterly Rock, and if that is so, how was she able to communicate with Jaime? It's a lot more questions than answers, but something about it feels possible.
I don't know where Viserys get's his information. One of the reasons that I think Ned might have had something to do with helping Viserys, or at least the people who got him out of the country, is that line about the golden sword. Ned focuses on it, and it becomes part of the imagery that sticks with him about Jaime Lannister. So, if Ned had something to do with helping Viserys himself or arranging someone who helped, then perhaps this golden sword aspect would stick to that story. We have a parallel of Davos arranging for Edric Storm to be smuggled to safety, and since I think most of these moves serve as parallel's to the past, perhaps this is a parallel for Ned/Davos. They are quite similar, moral compasses of the story. I had speculated that perhaps Davos smuggling skills might have been used around the rebellion's time to either get someone into or out of Storms End or Kings Landing. The story is told in a series of waves that ripple across time, slightly different but very similar. But what if it's Ned, who is similar to Davos in certain ways, who was responsible for sending Viserys, and perhaps Daenerys, into the exile. We see during Ned and Cersei's talk in the godswood that Ned is quite willing to let Cersei and her children escape and go to Essos into exile to save their lives. He was even willing to allow the same for her father and brother's, knowing that Robert would kill them if he had any chance. Maybe that ploy made sense to him because he had helped do it once before?
The ae aspect of Margaery's name does stand out as being a bit Targaryen, or at least Valyrian, sounding. I suppose it very well could have been a message to say that the Tyrell's are still Targaryen supporters. Yet, Margaery's mother is a Alerie Hightower, and I would think that the Hightower's show some Valyrian blood or sympathy. I do think Mace blows with the wind, but Alerie might not, and perhaps she named her daughter with a Valyrian vibe for some reason. Perhaps it's loyalty to the Targaryen's, but perhaps it's something more. After all, she has sisters named Alysanne and Lynesse, Malora and Denyse, and a brother called Baelor, so perhaps this loyalty or plotting comes from the Hightower family? Alerie has always interested me, because she seems so quiet and well behaved, next to her mother in law, but I don't discount that she is quite intelligent, and her silver hair stands out to me. Silver as in grey, or silver as in genetics. And her sister is Lynesse, who Jorah thinks looks much like Daenerys. I would love it if Alerie was able to fool and perhaps manipulate Olenna without that old lady even being slightly aware.
There could have been a fake Rhaenys in the Red Keep. Jaime was quite willing to kill Arya Stark after the incident at the Trident but he didn't even really pay attention to what she looked like, which was why he was not able to tell that the fake Arya that Tywin provided was a fake or not. He suspected she was fake, mostly because it suited Tywin to do this, but he could not tell on his own. So, if there was a fake Rhaenys in the castle, would he have been able to tell. And I wonder if this switch didn't happen sometime when Rhaenys was quite young, perhaps even before Aegon was born. If Elia is anything like Doran, then she would be quite cautious. The water gardens are the perfect place to swap babies. One thing that does make me think that the real Rhaenys might have died in the Red Keep that day was Balerion, the black cat. I could see a bit of Rheanys remaining behind in her kitten. If that is true, that cat doesn't seem to cause Jaime any problems, so that would be a reason to doubt he killed the princess.
I don't know about Shae. She is an interesting character but I have never focused on her. And because she ends up strangled, I tend to think that she doesn't have much to do in this story outside of her messing with Tyrion's head. And she still is, even after her death. She might be around the correct age to be Rhaenys, though. And her build actually is quite similar to what I imagine Elia's build would have been like. But if she is Rhaenys, I don't understand the role she was playing as a whore? If it's a long con to get her into the Red Keep, that aspect works, but then she dies, and that plot line ends. Unless Varys will tell us some day the truth about her background. I really don't know about this, but I will think about it.
