No, Dany it won't take three years to learn how to please Khal Drogo, "it is known". However it does get me into wanting to talk about this scenario and how Daenerys goes from being raped against her will to enjoying the act and riding Drogo. Do you think this is a good or bad message to send on how to deal with sexual advances you'd rather not engage in? It is interesting though that when Dany does take control in a sexual situation that she's wearing clothes--as if to say that wearing clothes while having sex is empowering while being naked when doing so is like being a slave.
hmm... there is this scene where she starts accepting it while distracting herself from the pain by contemplating the eggs.. she seems to "wake the dragon" before Doreah schools her the empowering thing would work too, but I don't think any of the Dany-Khal scenes in this episode were actually titillating. The first one, with the nudity comes in suddenly and goes away suddenly too, and looks painful. Maybe Dany being nude would distract from what the sequence was trying to say?
Actually, that one whole scene almost makes Dany look like psycho lady. She goes from utterly distraught to completely obsessed with the dragon eggs. The smile on her face at the end is rather creepy.
Why must I always be the isle of crazy alone in an ocean of sensibility? The should to everybody else’s shouldn’t? The I-will to their better-nots?
