Hey all, I wrote this post about 3 years ago on W, and figured I'd copy it here for shits and giggles. As you can see, I wasn't fond of Cat whether she was dead or alive:
Ok,
I seriously don't understand what her purpose is in these novels. We have her walking around like Night of the Living Dead killing all the Freys.
I get the whole revenge/thirst for vengeance angle, but considering she was quite a central character, and arguably perhaps one of the biggest trouble-makers in this series, I don't quite understand why Uncat was introduced as a character.
It just seems so random. There has to be a bigger plan for her, I suppose, but while I admit zombies are entertaining, I'd rather learn more about the Others. Even UnGregor I find more interesting. Beric at least could talk. I always found Cat dull and tedious, and turns out she's still a bore as a zombie.
Does anyone have any theories as to why her zombie character is even relevant to the storyline, and what she could possibly contribute? If the only thing her storyline brings is death to Freys I'll be disappointed. I don't like them, but I don't feel that's a good enough idea to bring Uncat into the mix.
I mean, what the hell? Why not UnRobb? At least he was interesting, and it would've been even more fun if he could of had his UnGreywind at his side.
I know due to his mutilation it's not possible, I'm just throwing out hypotheticals. I think Uncat is the most useless character in Westeros.

Wow. Kind of crazy that I never knew you were a fellow Cat-hater all this time! Maybe now that she's a zombie she can finally kill something besides Starks.
"I can see it. You have more of the north in you than your brothers."
... part of the point of unCat is for Jaime to take charge of the brotherhood without banners. He needs a new group for his new life path. Whether that's AAR or a Night's Watchman or the revamped muster knight.
I want to hear moar, good ser.
i haven't heard this idea get thrown around before, and I think I like where you are headed.
