Hmmmm, somehow reminds me of the Fourteen Flames in Valyria where untold riches were mined.
There might be other red dragons, (anyone? help me if I am missing a red dragon or two, please) but I am only aware of two. Meleys, the Red Queen, and Caraxes, the Blood Wyrm, are both known to be red in color, but I am unsure if it's mentioned what color their fire was. Meleys was noted to have some pink coloring to her. An interesting connection is that Meleys was ridden first by Alyssa Targaryen, who was the mothe of Viserys I and Daemon, the Rogue Prince. When they were babies, she took both boys for rides on her red dragon. Viserys later claimed Balerion for his dragon, and Rhaenys, Alyssa's neice, known as the Queen who Never Was, claimed Meleys. Before being claimed by Daemon, the Rogue Prince, Caraxes was ridden by Aemon Targaryen, son of Jaehaerys and Alysanne, who was the father of Rhaenys, the Queen who Never Was. Again, this combination of people who are associated with riding red dragons makes me think there is something special about each individual Targaryen dragon that genetically matches them to a dragon. But that was a little "red dragon" rabbit hole I slipped into again...
I am not sure if either of them had gold flame, but I am mighty curious about a red dragon who breaths gold fire!
I can always create a new thread if you want to talk about dragons, colors, fire color etc. Or you can if you want. I just don't like derailing the thread too much.
Meleys and Caraxes are the only two red dragons that I can think of but it has been awhile since I cracked open the world book.
