I love how Dany is constantly being given the choice between being a slave and being a conqueror. It's as though she has to keep being given the choice until she makes the "right" choice. Whether it's an actual slave situation, or whether it's simply she enslaves herself to the traditions of a foreign culture, that's always the choice put before Dany. Here in this episode we get the best example where she begins to make that choice for herself instead of needing to be goaded by others, when Dany chooses to protect as many of the Lhazareen as possible, and she begins to loose her nerve on just what conquering Westeros will mean as she's faced with economics of needing to hire ships will cost the Khalasar to sail to Westeros.
