The network announced Monday that it will launch After the Thrones, "a weekly show that takes a lively, humorous and sophisticated look at the hit HBO series Game of Thrones." The show, which will be hosted by journalists Andy Greenwald and Chris Ryan, is the first show to come from HBO's partnership with former Bill Simmons, founder of Grantland who exited ESPN after the sports network declined to renew his contract. Greenwald and Ryan formerly hosted the podcast Watch the Throne for Grantland.
HBO described the show in a news release: "Each week, After the Thrones will recap the latest episode, explaining the who, what, when and where, exploring the complicated politics and history of Thrones, and offering absurd and not-so-absurd theories about future episodes. Greenwald and Ryan will discuss the show as only they can." The show will be available on HBO's streaming platforms and on demand day after air (air dates on the main HBO channel have not been announced). The first will be available Monday April 25, after the show's April 24 season six premiere.
After the Thrones is a similar construct to the AMC's Talking Dead, a weekly talkshow hosted by Chris Hardwick that airs after each episode of The Walking Dead. It features interviews with the producers and stars of the show, as well as celebrity guests.

voice, karsa, Would you care to give your opinion regarding the obvious upcoming failure of this new endeavour related entirely to the fact that there is no female co-host?
Why must I always be the isle of crazy alone in an ocean of sensibility? The should to everybody else’s shouldn’t? The I-will to their better-nots?
