Sansa should've slapped Glover across the face...What the...?
Rickon you Fuck. If he doesn't count Jon or Sansa he needs to pledge Rickon.
“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.” ― George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
i didn't mind this episode at all, but it was short. i agree with the sentiment that with good editing this and the prior episode could have been combined. lots of setup for the last 3 episodes, but they didn't get far enough for what my expectations were. Cersei was flat, but aside from that scene i thought it was a well done episode. It will be interesting to see where the Hound goes from here...
Ok, now on to the rest of the episode (grrr I'm still VERY worried about Arya. The lone wolf dies but the pack survives... they BETTER NOT!!) Ugh. Ok, moving on.
The Hound is back, yaay! And the Gods have a plan for him... looks like Clegane Bowl is really happening. Fantastic!
Septon Meribald was a bit underwhelming, IMO. But that's ok, I still enjoyed watching him interact with the Hound. Too bad about the end... but I guess he wasn't gonna leave that lovely place voluntarily, so they had to force his hand.
"Desire on the woman's part is not required, only patience." Seriously, HS??? Margaery is playing him well, but I still don't know what her plan is. Without Olenna, what can she do? How will she get Loras out?
"You're surrounded by enemies, thousands of them. Are you going to kill them all by yourself?" I say it's virtually guaranteed that Cersei will burn down the city this season. And the saddest part about this is that the Hound will die by fire.
[Side note: can we get some more sad, scared/horrified and worried emojis? I feel like they're underrepresented given how often they'd be appropriate. Thanks, powers that be )
Jaime looks really badass in the Lannister armor. I approve. I'm also enjoying his superior/condescending attitude toward the Freys, it's quite similar to the books. Jaime has 8,000 men!! It's him they need to recruit North, not the Blackfish with his 15 guys. Could Brienne convince him? That act alone would justify her whole reason for being; getting the Lannister host to march North against the Boltons/white walkers. I would really love it if that was his character arc, coming full circle to defend the Starks in their time of need.
At first I thought lady Mormont was being a little bitch, but she grew on me quickly. She's a warrior, not a lady, and she doesn't do smalltalk. She and Arya would get along. "House Mormont has kept faith with House Stark for thousands of years. We will not break faith today." Not gonna lie, I teared up a little. lol.
Then I thought lord Glover was being an asshole, but he had a point about Robb. He really screwed up, choosing Jeyne over his honor.
Uh oh... Asha and Theon are going to Meereen. I say it now, Theon will be Quentin.
Uh oh again... they are in Stannis' camp. Now Davos will find the remains of the pyre... Sansa doesn't approve of Davos. It seems Sansa wants a bigger army but Jon and Davos are ready to attack. I must say I side with Sansa on this one, having seen what the Boltons did to the last inferior army.
Damn that Arya scene is just as intense the second time around. It's like for a second you are reminded that she is a child, and she is terrified and alone. She staggers through the streets, unable to find help because she can't trust anyone... any face could be the waif. (Who was pretty irresponsible to not follow up and make sure she was dead). I'm really worried that they could kill her off. It's been a while since we have truly grieved...
“In Qohor he is the Black Goat, in Yi Ti the Lion of Night, in Westeros the Stranger. All men must bow to him in the end, no matter if they worship the Seven or the Lord of Light, the Moon Mother or the Drowned God or the Great Shepherd. All mankind belongs to him... else somewhere in the world would be a folk who lived forever. Do you know of any folk who live forever?”
The "story" is getting "better", for lack of a better term, but the writing's getting worse...
Yes that's exactly it! This is why I'm excited and a little disappointed at the same time. But it's getting me super pumped for TWOW!!

Rewatching since I kept getting interrupted last time. I think this was the first time that I've seen them do an opening scene before the credits in an episode that wasn't a season premiere. Nice to see the Hound. Is he eating fried chicken? Either way, it appears that God is not done with him yet.
Why does the High Sparrow care that much about King Tommen's sex life. I was actually under the impression he was trying to eradicate the royals not breed them.
What game is the QoT playing. Not that I didn't really enjoy her putting Cersei in her place, but I really can't imagine her actually leaving Kings Landing the way things currently stand.
Why must I always be the isle of crazy alone in an ocean of sensibility? The should to everybody else’s shouldn’t? The I-will to their better-nots?
How the fuck was Arya not ready for the waif? Or at least had Needle with her and her guard up at all times? Surely all that time spent with the Faceless Men would've prepared her in some way. It's no secret that the waif hates her. Did she think they were going to let her walk away?
How did the Hound not hear the sound of an entire group being butchered? Are the Brotherhood without Banners stealth assassins? I thought they were meant to help the innocent not slaughter them? What?
I'm so confused right now. Episode was going fine until those last couple of scenes.
