Ok, sorry for going off topic, but Lady Dyanna set it up so perfectly! I didn't catch RLJ my first read, though. I don't remember who I thought it was, to be honest.
I think maybe it was later down the road when I thought about the miller's wife and Theon, and how he may have murdered his own kids. Hmmm...oh, I didn't get that Renly was gay!

No need to apologize I was just surprised that's all. Remember the faithful are welcome here as you have said The miller's wife and children were also one thing I did not pick up on until I read some essays. I did, however, pick up on Renly being gay.
I missed Damphair being literally, Damp-hair. I think the half-vampire (damfyr?) characters in movies at the time threw me off. And I totally did not see the red wedding coming.
Lol! A few days ago, I was discussing this with Direwolf Blitzer and @danceswithflagons. I had been calling him "Dam-fa-ear" until I heard it on audio recently! Now I get the joke!
DWB & I both prefer Lord Fry vs Fray, and as far as I'm concerned, I'm going to keep calling him Lord French Fry.
the Gs get me, too. I don't know when it's George or Gary.
Knowing that GRRM based The Wall on Hadrian's Wall, and despite having been hip-deep in this series for several years now, I only put together after THREE rereads this connection: the Wall, "take the black" to "join the Watch" = the Black Watch of Scotland. WTF.
For me it took three reads to understand that Brienne's chapters are full of information. I enjoyed them but I didn't realize how much else GRRM was trying to tell us, instead of simply travelogue/fill in. I know a lot of people think her chapters are the most boring.
I have a lot of thoughts about Brienne, she doesn't get enough attention.
GRRM does tons with his travelogue, Dany in Mereen and what normally gets skipped in between spoken words that goes unnoticed.

I didn't get that Renly was gay either.
I doubt I caught RLJ, but ASOIAF was my introduction to fantasy, so there weren't any tropes in the back of my mind.
The maester's medicines made an impressive display; dozens of pots sealed with wax, hundreds of stoppered vials, as many milkglass bottles, countless jars of dried herbs, each container neatly labeled in Pycelle's precise hand. An orderly mind, Tyrion reflected, and indeed, once you puzzled out the arrangement, it was easy to see that every potion had its place. And such interesting things. He noted sweetsleep and nightshade, milk of the poppy, the tears of Lys, powdered greycap, wolfsbane and demon's dance, basilisk venom, blindeye, widow's blood . . . Standing on his toes and straining upward, he managed to pull a small dusty bottle off the high shelf. When he read the label, he smiled and slipped it up his sleeve.
That it coincided with this in Tyrion VI:
Is this the Cersei that Jaime sees? When she smiled, you saw how beautiful she was, truly. I loved a maid as fair as summer, with sunlight in her hair. He almost felt sorry for poisoning her.
Or maybe I did notice, but I don't remember.

Yea that was a crappy situation. Sorry just had to say that lol
I missed that Brown Ben of the Second Sons tried to buy Tyrion when Tyrion was up for sale. And that Brown Ben later discusses with Dany at her wedding feast that he tried to buy her a wedding gift but the bidding went to high (for Tyrion).
That night she dreamed she was a wolf again, but it was different from the other dreams. In this dream she had no pack. She prowled alone, bounding over rooftops and padding silently beside the banks of a canal, stalking shadows through the fog.
This is the night that Arya killed Dareon. She wakes up blind the next morning. Damned if she's not having a CAT DREAM!

Why must I always be the isle of crazy alone in an ocean of sensibility? The should to everybody else’s shouldn’t? The I-will to their better-nots?

Wonder if it has something to do with her cat catching in KL. the Tom with the ears chewed off belonged to Rhaegar's kids, right? Maybe she bonded with the cats.
there's another cat warging scene, but it's when she's awake. I can't remember where, but she's in a room with someone (the kindly man?) and zips into a cat for an instant. Might be when she's blind? I'll let you know in November when I make it that far
