That question is actually more difficult to answer than it should be. Did I enjoy reading it? Yes. But it was probably more for the nostalgia than anything. If I wasn't already a Potter fan it probably wouldn't have been worthwhile. That said I don't regret buying or reading it. It's actually a pretty quick read. Also, remember, it's in the format of a screen play, so it's all about dialogue and what you can see visually.
Why must I always be the isle of crazy alone in an ocean of sensibility? The should to everybody else’s shouldn’t? The I-will to their better-nots?

I liked it. It feels like fan service at times, even while you're reading it, but I really enjoyed it. It reads more like a short story than a novel, so it doesn't have the range/depth you'd find in a true book. Even without the famed effects and production of the live performance it does pull you in and has the feel of the true Harry Potter Universe. I thought the story meshed perfectly with the epilogue of Deathly Hallows.
JKR even managed to make a few events from the books feel like foreshadowing for parts of this addition. So if you treat it like a light read/short story expansion of the epilogue, I think it has merit.
"I can see it. You have more of the north in you than your brothers."
You pretty much need a vial of Felix Felicis to get a ticket. I wouldn't bet against a Broadway run tbh, money talks after all.
I'm going to go even further out on a limb and hope for a tour. NY isn't that far away, but it is ridiculously expensive to travel/stay there.
If they do go on tour I'm hoping they'll come here to Vegas. We had Beauty and the Beast, The Book of Mormon, Cats, Wicked and loads more. Isn't there also chatter about making a movie or is that just wishful thinking?
The blade was Valyrian steel, spell-forged and dark as smoke. Nothing held an edge like Valyrian steel.

Hmm. Hard to say. I'm not sure if the movie chatter I've heard has been related to this or Fantastic Beasts...
I bet you would get a showing in Vegas. Seems like somewhere it might go. Especially since I'm usually able to get most of that stuff here in Pittsburgh.

Well WB filed a trademark for movies and merchandising re "The Cursed Child" but that doesn't really mean anything. Chances are they're just keeping their options open so if they want to do a Cursed Child feature in the future (say in about 10-12 years when the original cast is properly aged) then they've got it on lock. Now Fantastic Beasts is supposed to be a trilogy which should keep WB in HP IP for the next decade or so. If Beasts bombs though we might see Cursed Child earlier. I wouldn't go betting body parts on it or anything, JK has insisted that CC will only be a play and it's not like she's desperate for scratch. Looks to me like everyone is just keeping their options open.
With the original cast (and a bit more material) a CC movie would be awesome.
If I had any say then Beasts would lead us straight into the First Wizarding War. You set a theme throughout the series of the wizarding world encroaching on the muggle world (as we see in the trailer for Beasts) and then you introduce Grindewald in Beasts 3 as the antagonist who is recruiting/coercing/manipulating magical creatures into working for him. So you then have the scope to tell the FFW over three movies with young Dumbledore as the protagonist. You could have a real Will Graham/Hannibal Lecter relationship between the two of them and you can touch on some pretty deep concepts like equality, diversity, power and responsibility. It freaking writes itself tbh. I would then skip the Cursed Child and fast forward into the future where we would have the the long-awaited throwdown, Muggles vs Wizards. Tech vs Magic. I ask you, would this not be cool ? Also, I don't know quite what the situation is with regard Potter video game rights but if any of you have played The Old Republic then you will understand what I mean when I say; Bioware must get a shot at making a Potter MMO. I mean, c'mon? A Potter MMO where you start off as a student attending Hogwarts ? That is the experience we're all looking for right ? If you have played TOR you'll understand. The immersion factor and fantasy fulfillment are off the freaking charts. You can be a young padawan in jedi training or a badass sith climbing the ladder. You can be the Captain of a YT freighter or a bounty hunter with freaking jet boots. To take that model and apply it to the Potter-verse ?!?! Solid gold, cast-iron mega-smash.
