The story needed Bane though. Sow the seeds of doubt for Harry (who does not dismiss non-human insight), so he could make some bad decisions. Firenze might have done the same, but wouldn't have had the same will to mislead Harry. Not saying Bane did it intentionally, but I could see why he'd enjoy muddying the waters for Harry.

The blade was Valyrian steel, spell-forged and dark as smoke. Nothing held an edge like Valyrian steel.

ToR is basically Mass Effect with SW sounds and settings. Easily the best MMO (imo) available. If you ever do get around to playing it (it's free-to-play) then give me a shout and I'll introduce you to Master Daeneryia Drevayn and her coral-pink lightsaber of doom
