“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.” ― George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
Your lordship lost a son at the Red Wedding. I lost four upon the Blackwater. And why? Because the Lannisters stole the throne. Go to King’s Landing and look on Tommen with your own eyes, if you doubt me. A blind man could see it. What does Stannis offer you? Vengeance. Vengeance for my sons and yours, for your husbands and your fathers and your brothers. Vengeance for your murdered lord, your murdered king, your butchered princes. Vengeance!
Haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but video five is out.
I'm going to get yelled at, I'm supposed to be cleaning the carpet...

While I found it interesting, I have to agree. Seemed like a lot of beating around the bush. So I'm hoping that part 6 has the details that I feel part 5 should have had

I changed the title of this thread given that most of the series hasn't been about hive minds, and that we seem to have just made a general thread regarding this series

Don't know if I'm just too out of it to appreciate this video or if PJ has finally just gone further into the deep end than I am comfortable in following?
Why must I always be the isle of crazy alone in an ocean of sensibility? The should to everybody else’s shouldn’t? The I-will to their better-nots?

I've kinda felt that way about this whole series actually. I thought it started off really well, then it got a little bit weird and out there, peaked again, then now I'm feeling like it's weird and out there again. I'm not sure how he's planning on ending the series, but I hope it somehow ties everything together cause I'm kind of lost and wondering where it's all going.

It did have some valid points though. I definitely think Mel is more charlatan than all powerful red priestess. I do think there's a certain "belief" aspect to magic in ASOIAf (that's pretty much a staple of all fantasy though - the magician needs to have certain amount of will or mental power to wield the magic that they do). I'm not opposed to the idea that Cortnay Penrose was simply killed by his men as they didn't want to endure a war against their rightful liege over a bastard 11 year old that they're castellan wouldn't give up instead of a shadow assassin.
