got to take a leaf out of Sansa's books and remain courteous at all times...so best to rephrase this question around lemon cakes.
Even better, bring some to him...
"Arya did not dare take a bath, even though she smelled as bad as Yoren by now, all sour and stinky. Some of the creatures living in her clothes had come all the way from Flea Bottom with her; it didn’t seem right to drown them."
What kind of question is Martin likely to actually answer?
I would give anything Wild Cards related a 100% probability of a detailed answer, and anything ASOIAF related a 50/50 chance of either not being answered, or being given a very quick nonanswer.
"I can see it. You have more of the north in you than your brothers."
I'd really like to know I would like to know is what year the sack happened. Its stated that Viserys was born in 276 AC and was 8 when they fled to Dragonstone but the sack seems to have happened in 283 when Viserys was 7. Is this a continuity error, did the sack actually happen in 284 AC, or did they go somewhere else before eventually going to Dragonstone. There seems to be differing accounts of the flight to Dragonstone. Also, I would like to know if Lyanna missing during the entire duration of the rebellion? Did she turn up at some point and go missing again (not getting an answer for that one but its worth a shot)? What year was Jon born? Why didn't Ned bring back the bodies of his six companions? Why happened to Ned's mother? Did she die in childbirth? It doesn't seem like she was alive during the rebellion. Are you going to write in the 5 year time skip in some other fashion such as having 5 years pass over the course of one book or is it super dead and beyond resurrection?
Wouldn't get an answer for any of these question except maybe the bottom two.
First Mance fought with a greatsword which is the odd thing not a long sword.
It's very odd. Jon himself was trained by a master-at-arms for like a decade, yet had never been taught how to wield a two handed sword until Ser Endrew Tarth was assigned by Mormont to teach him
The Old Bear seemed pleased by that. "I suppose they do. You'll want to wear that over the shoulder, I imagine. It's too long for the hip, at least until you've put on a few inches. And you'll need to work at your two-handed strikes as well. Ser Endrew can show you some moves, when your burns have healed."
It's not part of a regular training regimen. So why was Mance trained in how to wield a greatsword? And it's not like he had a few lessons here and there, he's a master.

I'd like to know this too. It's easy to say continuity errors, but there's a ton of them that make it seem like there's something off. TWOIAF gives some official years, but they don't seem to make sense, and GRRM has said to trust the books over TWOIAF.
Plus I want to know how it's possible that Davos says that Stannis took Dragonstone in 283 if Dany is born in 284. It slips by so many readers because he mentions it during the Battle of the Blackwater where their attention is elsewhere, but he clearly says in 299 that 16 years ago Stannis assaulted Dragonstone from the decks of Fury
Davos could make out Fury well to the southeast, her sails shimmering golden as they came down, the crowned stag of Baratheon blazoned on the canvas. From her decks Stannis Baratheon had commanded the assault on Dragonstone sixteen years before, but this time he had chosen to ride with his army, trusting Fury and the command of his fleet to his wife's brother Ser Imry, who'd come over to his cause at Storm's End with Lord Alester and all the other Florents.
That doesn't add up unless Dany wasn't on Dragonstone.

Another good question would be to ask whether Lyanna died in the same year that Jon was born. Because nowhere does it say that Lyanna was born in 283. The books say she died when she was 16. That doesn't tell us she was 16 in 283, fans just assume it because they assume she died giving birth to Jon.
Your lordship lost a son at the Red Wedding. I lost four upon the Blackwater. And why? Because the Lannisters stole the throne. Go to King’s Landing and look on Tommen with your own eyes, if you doubt me. A blind man could see it. What does Stannis offer you? Vengeance. Vengeance for my sons and yours, for your husbands and your fathers and your brothers. Vengeance for your murdered lord, your murdered king, your butchered princes. Vengeance!

Exactly. The discrepancy between Mance being some random NW deserter but then also being this exceptional fighter with a non-traditional NW weapon can't be an accident. We must remember that in order to become KBTW, he also had to defeat every other wildling leader - so he is understood to be the best fighter beyond the Wall, and now on the Wall as well. He is also currently on a mission to extract a valuable prisoner from an enemy castle - quite reminiscent of Ser Barristan's rescue of King Aerys at Duskendale. AND he seems to have some reason to want to search the WF crypts, he has a son by a mysterious Northern sorceress, he likes singing Dornish songs....
Maybe we could ask if there is anyone in the current KG who could defeat Mance... or if he could fight off three of them with his left hand while taking a piss with the right.

“In Qohor he is the Black Goat, in Yi Ti the Lion of Night, in Westeros the Stranger. All men must bow to him in the end, no matter if they worship the Seven or the Lord of Light, the Moon Mother or the Drowned God or the Great Shepherd. All mankind belongs to him... else somewhere in the world would be a folk who lived forever. Do you know of any folk who live forever?”

Well shit, that's one of hell of an insight. GRRM makes us focus on the Bael the Bard story by putting it right in our faces, but it's also extremely reminiscent of Barristan's rescue. Great catch
Which is why it adds up. Dany was born at Starfall, to Ashara Dayne.
You knew exactly where I was going.
I really hope in the Darkstar chase in TWOW we finally see Starfall and somebody mentions how some tower or rampart is still broken from a freak storm that wracked Starfall 16 years ago...

LOL
Or Ashara was detained at Kingslanding for a time; where the summer storms are fierce. If she had a child stolen from her; it wasn't by Ned; but more likely Varys.

And boom goes the dynamite.
The blade was Valyrian steel, spell-forged and dark as smoke. Nothing held an edge like Valyrian steel.

Voice print it out in color, if he signs it let's auction it off on eBay to pay for upkeep of The Hearth. That would be fantastic.
