So why didn't they remember Stannis already schooled Sam about dragon glass in S5. greywaterwatcher also pointed out to me at work yesterday that in Battle of the Bastards Sansa leaves the scene when Ramsay announced he hadn't fed his dogs in a week. And they forgot about that and Sansa magically discerned it when she killed him.
That kinda bugged me too...Perhaps she was still lingering, and in earshot...(?)
According to D&D on Inside The Episode as the new 3ER Bran has the ENTIRE history of Westeros in his head. He's gonna let some shit out!
Would be interesting if there was conflict between him and Jon being the KitN considering Bran is a true-born son. Technically he comes before Sansa too.
I thought of that too, but I guess they can question his ability to have children. I don't think Bran wants to be Lord, do you?
I think if he annoys anyone it will be Sansa & LF because it would trip up their (possible) plans to take over from Jon Snow.
Probably not, he's got a lot on his shoulders now. I assume we'll never see the lower levels of the crypt where the former Kings of Winter are enthroned in the weirwood roots. :/
The blade was Valyrian steel, spell-forged and dark as smoke. Nothing held an edge like Valyrian steel.
Can't remember if anyone else mentioned this earlier, but did you notice that when Sam was flipping through the book where he discovered the mountain of dragon glass that he flipped by a drawing of little fingers knife that was used to attack Bran in season 1? Arya was on the cover of a magazine with that same knife strapped to her waist also. Were the Faceless Men were trying to assassinate Bran for some reason?
Arya: "I'm coming for you Cersei and I'll be wearing Littlefinger's face!" Catelyn: "He's like a little brother to me."
A Clash of Kings - Arya IX "You swore. The gods heard you swear." "The gods did hear." There was a knife in his hand suddenly, its blade thin as her little finger. Whether it was meant for her or him, Arya could not say. "A girl will weep. A girl will lose her only friend."
Is is curious though, that Petyr is named after the assassin's blade and yet nobody recognizes him as the assassin. I've wondered when that appellation became attached to him. It seems to be some recognition that his father was from Braavos; Faceless Man HQ.
It's also curious that Arya is given a hit job for a second string actress in a mummer's troupe. Where did she get the money for that unless she promised her first born child.

I'm probably giving the writers too much credit here but it's possible the FM just wanted that Lady Crane's face and when the younger actress visited the HoBaW to pray for Lady Crane's death, they just used that as an excuse.
Ok, nerd alert... I'm really worried about the show's reliance upon obsidian. They already used it in their creation story for ww's, coldhands-Ben, and now, it looks like they are making Dragonstone into Lightbringer itself with the whole sitting-on-a-mountain-of-dragonglass thing.
Well, Westeros hasn't invented duct tape yet, so they need something.
There needs to be more. The solution cannot be a weapon, right? This is GRRM we're talking about. War begets war, weapons beget weapons.
This. We've seen Jon lose the dragonglass they had at Hardhome.
And I think there's a good chance Longclaw will break.
And no matter how much dragonglass they have, there's no way they can fight off an army that can just raise more warriors with Night King "applaud me!" poses.
I think it comes back to the first scenes in the books and the show: the White Walker badly beheads a ranger in the show. Then Ned "rightly" beheads a deserter.
So let me get this straight Jon. Karhold and the Last Hearth are the first line of defense when the Walkers break the wall down and your master plan is to leave children of uncertain loyalty in charge.... King in da Norf!!
Darkstar will be the next Vulture King.
Craster has 19 daughters and there are 19 castles on the Wall, coincidence I think not!
Arya: "I'm coming for you Cersei and I'll be wearing Littlefinger's face!" Catelyn: "He's like a little brother to me."
THANK YOU!
I've long thought of Arya as contender to be the Valanqor bc she's always mistaken for a boy and she FN hates Cersei. I like what you've got there too. Good stuff.
