And yes! Brandon would take up the practice for sure! Mayhaps he would be remembered as Brandon the Snow-maker?
stdaga, I think Lord's Right to the first night was actually really important, but its tinfoily concerns the others and I won't bother derailing this thread with it.
I almost wrote this in it's own post before anything else, but I kept myself in line and waited (for ages to get to it)! I was just rereading the Dornish plan thread Wraith has, so my mind was on Tyrosh, the Dornish, green hair etc when reading this. And it is odd that a tyroshi slaver would go up to Bear Islan isn't it? It seems like the most sea trade with the wildlings takes place in the east, not the west, but I might be wrong here. Anyway, there is a connection between Dorne and Tyrosh, so if the poachers really were someone Ned wanted to protect, could this be tied to Dorne and what is going on there? And why does Little Wylla dye her hair green?
The strong emotions on both sides are really weird! Lynesse might be the cause, but considering where Jorah ends up later (with Dany) it makes one wonder...
Barely started on this knot, so I'm all questions right now! And I'm too tired to think more at this time, as it's past my bedtime already...
Wooooo Dornish Master Plan, I could build a castle out of all the tinfoil I have for that issue.
It is odd that a Tyroshi slaver would be that far North, could be a plant by someone trying to get rid of Jorah, could have just been regular Tyroshi traders but they wouldn't say no to a few slaves on the side.
Frankly I think you and stdaga, are looking a bit too deep into the poachers sent into slavery. Slavery has never been accepted in Westeros and Ned's reaction makes perfect sense. I can't see why he would be hiding important people on Bear Island and Jorah accidently sells them into slavery. Not when they are much more loyal houses that could be relied on like say House Manderely.
Also speaking of House Manderely and there youngest daughter Wylla. Well its my take on the OotG take on Ned+Ashara=Jon. Wylla was the wet nurse Ashara had while at the Wolf's Den. Then Manderely names his granddaughter Wylla to remind Eddard of the service House Manderely did in service of House Stark.
