I sometime speculate if Wylla is the Fisherman's daughter and come to Wolf's Den with Ned? It is possible to Ned to call his banners from White Harbour maybe? Wolf's Den is said to look like a lordlings room and was built by Jon Stark. If Manderly is planning against Starks they could know eldest Stark child Jon, the bastard? I am never sure about Jon's parentage. Is there any Stark looking lady that could give birth to Arya? Would Barbrey be a candidate, did Catelyn's child die - speaking of Sansa she also say Jon's mother was a commoner, why didn't Ned stop rumors about FD?
Wylla could be the child of the Fisherman's daughter, but why Ned would leave her with the Manderly's doesn't make sense to me, unless she is a Targaryen heir and he is hiding her from Robert. But Wylla could be around the right age, although I think of her as younger than Jon or Robb, closer to Dany's age, or possibly younger, which would make her to young to be the child of the Fisherman's daughter. But that might not be correct. She has blond hair (according to Davos, I guess her roots are growing out?) and her eye color is never mentioned. It makes more sense to me that Jon is tied to White Harbor and the Wolf's Den then any girl, but …
I have speculated that Barbey could be Arya's mother. If Ned took a child from her, it might give her a reason to hate him so much, and this would mirror how Jon thinks Gilly feels about him. Barbrey is quite interested in fArya and is trying to decide if she is real or not. Kind of takes her under her wing. If she was her daughter, it might make sense why she takes such an interest in her. Also, Arya is a great rider and Barbrey is a Ryswell, a family connected to horses. I would actually think that Barbrey could be Jon's mother, but GRRM has told us that Jon's parentage can be figured out from clues in the first book and Barbrey was never mentioned in Game, not even as a mystery wife of Lord Dustin.
As to how Arya might have been transplanted as a child of Cat's, I do wonder if Cat might not have had a child die. Lysa has multiple troubles with pregnancy and we can blame that on the moon tea miscarriage but it could also be the genes from Minissa Whent Tully, who also struggled to have children. So, I think a dead child and Ned and Luwin took the opportunity to place a bastard of Ned's into Winterfell's nursery, and somehow Cat never figured it out. It's more likely that Arya is Cat's daughter and all my speculation is for nothing.
I am not sure why Sansa seems so sure that Jon's mother is a commoner, but it could be based on gossip she has heard, or just that she thinks it would make Cat feel better that Jon's mother isn't highborn. Jon himself dreams of his mother being highborn, but that could also be wishful thinking on his part.
I also read a briliant tinfoil about Aegon being son of Robert, they have same quotes (I smell bacon) and both are said to be maiden magnets so it was fun, I think Melifeather, is she a member here, wrote about Quince being Ned, woman she loved as Ashara and the man she caught her with as Robert, if Val is her daughter as I predict then Young Griff being Robert's would make Melifeather's parallel to be true .
Well, I don't think I have seen a theory about Aegon being Robert's but I kind of like it. I actually have speculated that Dany is Robert's, so I am willing to buy just about anything. And we do know that Robert is said to have 16 bastards and we have only identified about half of them. There are more out there. I speculate both Renly and Brienne are bastards of Robert Baratheon. The irony of Griff raising Robert's bastard would be rather delightful!
I might be wrong but Fat Fellow from HoBaW could be Borrell from Siterton and not Illyrio, ı always thought if it is possible for Illyrio to be Sallador Saan due to their similar way of talking, could two enormous men fit into Red Keep tunnels
I have heard this theory about Borrell as well, but I am not sure. Arya is a detail person and Borrell has some kind of sign on his hand that makes him stand out. Would she not have noticed this if he was at the House of Black and White?
How boring of me, but I suspect Salladhor Saan is just himself, although I do think he might have some bastard Valyrian blood.
