In the continuing adventures of the worst-kept secret in Game of Thrones land, Kit Harington was seen heading back to Belfast, Northern Ireland last night.
Lol! You called it before the season even ended! How could they possibly keep it under wraps? How many sightings have you reported now?

We have a bit of interesting Game of Thrones Season 6 casting news for you all. Actor Ricky Champ (Mortdecai and The Worlds End), has been cast as Flynn. Here’s a brief description of the role, which was described when the casting list leaked a few weeks ago:
Flynn: He’s part of an outlaw band. The group is using religion to justify terrorizing and extorting what they need from the people of the countryside. He appears in 2 episodes in season 6. He appears to be part of Lachlan’s band.
Your lordship lost a son at the Red Wedding. I lost four upon the Blackwater. And why? Because the Lannisters stole the throne. Go to King’s Landing and look on Tommen with your own eyes, if you doubt me. A blind man could see it. What does Stannis offer you? Vengeance. Vengeance for my sons and yours, for your husbands and your fathers and your brothers. Vengeance for your murdered lord, your murdered king, your butchered princes. Vengeance!

so we have the Faith Militant raiding Westeros now. Did it get to that point in the book yet? Also, do we know if D&D have consulted with GRRM yet about the new season, or are they just going to go joyriding from here on out?

Ian McShane has been cast as a "mystery person" for Season 6. McShane gained his popularity about 10 years ago when HBO produced the Deadwoods series. His character, Al Swearengen (check the spelling) made the show.
I'm sensing Euron Greyjoy. My bet is that he shows up wearing an eye patch in Season 6.
For Flynn, it could be a darker version of the Brotherhood without Banners.
Also, is anyone else doubting the casting call which people are assuming is Arthur Dayne?
I didn't hear about that (but I wasn't looking). I'd have thought Dayne would've been cast in S1 if anything for the ToJ flashback. Since he hasn't been on the show, I'm guessing D&D aren't going with Arthur + Lyanna.

Everyone on Westeros is assuming that that plus a small fortress in Spain means that they're filming the Tower of Joy scene, while ignoring that the part is being called for more than one filming scene.
If anything I'm putting my money on the character being the Faith's champion against Ser Robert Strong.
I also agree with you that we would have gotten a flashback from Season One if Arthur was to appear.
Too many people I think are attached to the idea that Bran's going to be doing forensic research via the trees and that he doesn't have a plot or purpose of his own outside of confirming R+L=J. Personally, I'd like to find out how he'll use those powers in the present rather than doing back story explanation.
Legendary Fighter: A man in his thirties or forties who is a great swordsman and a paragon of knighthood. He carries a hugely famous sword on his back. The show is seeking a very impressive swordsman for the role- the best in Europe, for a week of filming fight scenes for a season 6 role. His ethnicity/race isn’t specified, unlike many other roles.

Isaw that tower- was posted in a Twitter feed, I think, or Watchers on the Walls? Could be a number of things. Of course, we don't have wow yet to know, but would be interesting if we went to ToJ in the next book, though not sure for what reason.

Well Weasel Pie had a good thread about Bran being a timelord. There were definitely Dr. Who elements involved, but the purpose wasn't to suss out RLJ. Maybe it was kingtyrion who suggested that Bran knows he has to have an accident and become a cripple to save Westeros, and he has this domino effect to get things going.
It was really trippy, like Interstellar.

When I heard McShane was cast my thought was Gerold Hightower actually. I think he'd make a fantastic White Bull and lend enormous credit to the Tower of Joy scene (if they do it) as these 3 men being the best of the best knights (even though the real 3 KG weren't as we have nothing making Oswell special and Gerold was well past his prime by that point).
Between them stood fierce old Ser Gerold Hightower, the White Bull, Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.
“When King's Landing fell, Ser Jaime slew your king with a golden sword, and I wondered where you were.”
“Far away,” Ser Gerold said, “or Aerys would yet sit the Iron Throne, and our false brother would burn in seven hells.”
“Ser Willem Darry is fled to Dragonstone, with your queen and Prince Viserys. I thought you might have sailed with him.”
“Ser Willem is a good man and true,” said Ser Oswell.
“But not of the Kingsguard,” Ser Gerold pointed out. “The Kingsguard does not flee.”
“Then or now,” said Ser Arthur. He donned his helm.
“We swore a vow,” explained old Ser Gerold.
Just seems to me like McShane would nail the atmosphere and intensity perfectly. And given that apart from Ned, Gerold has the most lines in the TOJ dream, Gerold needs to be a person of presence for the parley. He's the one who needs to convey that the KG will not be surrendering. Whoever they cast as Arthur needs to nail an awesome battle sequence sure, but they need Gerold to set the atmosphere (assuming they stick to the books).

Yeah the length of filming is a little odd if he's just need to make a valiantly stand at the TOJ. I'm sure they'd want to nail it right, but I doubt they'd need him for a week for that.
I speculated a few months ago however that if Arthur Dayne were to be on the show, I think they'd just merge him with Jon Connington (if they ever cast him). It'd just be easier for the audience. Which could explain needing him for a week of filming if he's got multiple scenes.
