Agreed. I couldn't put it down- no matter how often I read it. It's so exciting. That's why Feast and Dance were such let downs. GoT & Clash were great, and I hope wow is up to par. Would be a shame if the series turns into wheel of time. With all the loose ends, I'm also having trouble seeing how he can end with 2 more books.

Yeah if he doesn't give himself room to tie up most of the loose ends itll be like he cut to credits mid-sentence, Sopranos style. Imagine the outrage....and it'd be well deserved.
I'm thinking about finishing the rest of Clash by POV chapter. You think that would ruin the flow?

I keep skimming the Dany chapters now. I already know what happens, she goes through all this traumatic stuff and then sits in one spot doing nothing for 3 books.

I feel like I just hit a brick wall, and am back to 8 pages a day again...

How much have Clash have you read?
I read the last 20% of AGOT rather quickly after averaging probably 12 pages a day over a month and a half.

78%
Ive had an earache for the last 3 days, though, which has also been distracting. I just finished the chapters where Jon lets Ygritte go, and Sansa got her period.
there was a lot more info in the Bael the Bard story than I realized. Lots of parallels. And I liked Cersei in the period chapter. For once, she acts human, and empathizes with Sansa, sharing some motherly advice on how to deal with husbands you don't love.

I think the next chapter is Jon again, so must be when they get chased by the wildlings and Oren's eagle. I noticed when Qhorin picked Jon to scout with him, he says he wants Jon because of his Stark blood, or something similar- the old gods favor him. Was kind of cool.
