Ummm ... the cave stuff was a but much. I feel like the show is forcing Jon and Dany together but it is coming off flat to me. And I don't think it's the acting. Kit as Jon actually seemed more like a human than he normally does, but Dany still just comes across arrogant and like a arsehole (again). Cave drawings in dragon stone? If the Cof and the First Men were on dragon stone, maybe they should have been mining dragonglass and not drawing cave art! Stoll, Jon is trying to get his point across, but how does he really know what he is talking about?
I've yammered about this upthread--but one more point re: the cave drawings:
They've gone to great lengths in the show (not to mention Martin in the books) to show that the children keep their record in living weirwoods.
Not in the Dragonstone Barnes and Noble Reading Room.
HUMANS left records in runes on rocks. Not children.
So much for continuity.
On the bolded--he's being skin changed by Bran, silly.
SOOOO obvious!
Or: he and Davos stopped off at the Dragonstone History gift shop and picked up a guide book. Stannis didn't care to keep it locked.
Or. . . I'm out of other options.
Cersei apparently really getting that gold already into Kings Landing. Why do I think that things will not go as planned with the Iron Bank. Will she try to double cross them, or are they trying to double cross her. That mention of the Golden Company collecting debts for the Iron Band was not a casual mention. It has some part to play, I would hope.
Very interesting potential angles. It is not casual, as you say--
Am now fantasizing that House Lannister actually gets finally done in for NOT paying its debts.
Would be rather delicious.
