Last, I also think that referring 'her blood' is another way of saying that Rhaegar is 'her blood' or family. But more likely her father since she is taking his place in her dreams. In the same sense that Ned refers to Jon as 'his blood'.While I like the connection between Ned and Jon as father and son, and Rhaegar and Dany as father and daughter, we don't know for certain that it isn't just a blood connection shared by siblings or cousins. Although, the "my blood" wording by Ned was explored in an essay on this board. I think it might have been Ned and Wylla equals Jon. It's been a while since I have read through that.

Yes, I'd say so. Covered in her blood could be metaphor for sacrificing Rhaego to resurrect the life in the black egg. This egg is larger than the other two and I've said before I think this was Rhaegar's egg and containing his soul. Waking the last dragon in her dream of the singing dragon in other words. To me this explain why the dragon sings to her. What else is Rhaegar known for? His songs and Dany constantly dreams of him and changing places with him. She dreams of being Rhaegar and wearing his black armor. When she dreams of becoming the black dragon; she is wearing his armor.
I also like the connection of singing dragons and howling wolves, as a form of bond or communication between special pairs, Dany actually has both in her story. She has dragon's, no doubt, but she also has wolf imagery, dreams and howling (singing).
