Ignoring all other issues, dude! Jon! You just rode a FN dragon! You are now one of only 2 ppl in the whole world that have flown (recently, Bran excluded) and all you can say is "you've ruined horses for me"? He's so fn grim! Can't even be happy about something so awesome, just focuses on the negative. Damn.

"I can see it. You have more of the north in you than your brothers."
Got a dragon, might bring the apocalypse later, idk.
Since the NK isn't in the books other than history, it's safe to say that the other dragonrider identities are still up for grabs.
Did D&D give Jon the name Aegon bc of book fAegon? Or will that be his name in the books too (assuming RLJ)? No one will ask why Rhargar named both of his sons Aegon?
The actor playing Harry Strickland is how I picture fAegon in the books.
I get that the Tyrell army was hosed but what about the Dornish? Where is the SotM?
Sorry guys, boss isn't here and I have way too much time to think and play online.
The blade was Valyrian steel, spell-forged and dark as smoke. Nothing held an edge like Valyrian steel.

"Tell Mormont what Jon saw, and how. Tell him that the old powers are waking, that he faces giants and wargs and worse. Tell him that the trees have eyes again."
And Bran saw something in the far north that shook him...
Finally he looked north. He saw the Wall shining like blue crystal, and his bastard brother Jon sleeping alone in a cold bed, his skin growing pale and hard as the memory of all warmth fled from him. And he looked past the Wall, past endless forests cloaked in snow, past the frozen shore and the great blue-white rivers of ice and the dead plains where nothing grew or lived. North and north and north he looked, to the curtain of light at the end of the world, and then beyond that curtain. He looked deep into the heart of winter, and then he cried out, afraid, and the heat of his tears burned on his cheeks.
This is nothing if not a tale of old histories waking and confronting those who have fogotten them.

I've yet to see a plausible explanation for this, even for the show alone. Hopefully George comes up with something better if rlj!
Damn, did think that guy looked familiar even though he was only alive onscreen for a second! Chargers Defensive Lineman Joey Bosa (who's brother Nick is going to be a top draft pick next week) also has a cameo this season. Still, as cool as it is to see Mac from Always Sunny in Philadelphia and a badass football player, I feel like these clever little cameos take away a bit from the otherwise grimy-ness of this story and world. More torture, rapes and killings, not more 'wink wink' moments. And fuck ed sherran, who whatever is name is
Overall, disappointed in this episode, but liked most of the music, the updated credits, the reunions that had to happen to move the plot forward, Bran being a debbie downer (maybe rightfully so), and the very creepy Last Hearth scene with the jump scare I saw coming, but still got me a little.

"There must be one more"...Aegon.
I've seen mention that baby Aegon was dead when Jon was born, but if that's the case there would be no reason to annul the marriage between Rhaegar and Elia since Elia was killed at the same time as her kiddos?
