So Summer has a vision of an erupting volcano - vision triggered by the burning WF - but WHY?
What is is trying to tell us?
that WF was once the location of a volcano? if so where is the crater?
or the location of dragon riders who got burnt out by volcanic eruptions
or...that a volcano will 'soon' erupt in the vicinity? like beyond the curtain of light, to roast all inhabitants, hence chasing the cold ones away and triggering LNv2?
Until recently, I was sure that Summer seen something in the sky above Winterfell, it fit's with his description, and it fit's with the state that the First Keep is in afterward. However, I had recently wondered if Bran is having a vision in the crypt's, partly a wolf dream and partly a vision, and his warg bond with Summer actually means that Summer see's what Bran see's. So, in this case, Summer is seeing Bran's vision, not that Bran is seeing Summer's view of Winterfell.
This concept of Summer having the vision is something I hadn't thought on, but I would think it could be possible. The direwolves certainly are encased with the concept of magic. The idea that you present is interesting. A vision of a volcanic eruption! However, perhaps it is not a vision of the future, although it could be, but a vision of the past. If this comes from Bran, he is currently in the crypts, sleeping, dreaming, and we know that visions can be of the past, present, future (or possible future), so perhaps this "river of flame" is something that happened in the past.
Dany also has dreams that seem to include combinations of sources, all at the same time. Bran and Dany seem to have some notable similarities in their dreams.
And I like the concept of a "river of flame" being a Volcano flow. It is actually rather perfect. We know there is volcano activity in this world, such as Valyria, Dragonstone seems to hint at Volcano's as well as Hardhome area north of the wall. And Winterfell seems to have some type of heat source below it, hot enough to heat the warms springs and bring a type of life to this area of the north during the winter.
But I am not sure about the winged snake? It must be a dragon, except your "river of flame" isn't coming from it, but perhaps chasing it, or it is fleeing from it. Even in Valyria, we know the eruption of the 14 flames killed dragon's.
I have recently decided to tie some idea's I has seen from the text that the Stark's actually have some Targaryen blood, and this idea that Bran (or Summer) could be seeing the destruction of Valyria is interesting to me. Could something like this be what Daenys the Dreamer saw? Is this the past, or is this the future?
