The reason why I was thinking Mordo was Bloodraven is because how can Euron be the sorcerer in training if he's running all over the place? Shouldn't he have eaten the weirwood paste by now? Plus it would be creepy-cool if Bloodraven was only pretending to be dying and ends up turning on Bran once he's settled in. Then we learn that the Aged One/Genghis was behind sending Bran to battle it out with Mordo/Bloodraven.
Mordo, as apprentice to the Ancient One, was in training BEFORE Strange came on board, long before actually, and only started sending Strange the creepy dreams when he got the memo from the AO that Strange was going to be the replacement and not Mordo himself.
This would actually fit well with Euron's story. We have the recollections from Damphair that Euron jacked with him as a child, then Euron himself talking about trying to fly but falling, etc. If Euron had been "communicating" with Bloodraven from his youth onward and was under the impression that he would be the Chosen One, but then was booted from consideration.....
I do find it interesting that Euron first really showed his crazy in 289 during the Greyjoy Rebellion....and then Bran, in whom Bloodraven has been interested since he was in the womb, is born in 290 - after Euron has had opportunity to display his unfit-ness in the war. Also, Euron began his walkabout (sailabout?) and starting gaining all his dark voodoo about a year before Bran falls from the tower and has both his 3EC dreams AND his weirwood dreams for the first time.
Perhaps it's just coincidence, but the timing does fit.
I'm looking through the comics to see if I can find a Summerhall scenario, too.....not seeing anything of significance in the Strange tales, but there's a good chance something will turn up in the Modern Arc. I WILL PERSEVERE, dammit! ::flag wave::
